I was wondering why Adams did not try to trade Okposo and Girgs if he wasn’t going to make a serious run at playoffs. Yzerman seems to trade people out and improve your team without killing your growth.

The Sabres aren’t bad enough to tank, and there were no moves to make to have them be a cup contender this year.

Being in no mans land is the worst place to be in, but at least they were sensible enough to not rush their inevitable cup window.
