No it is not, FIND A WAY TO WIN THE GAME, that is what good teams do. Stop complaining and win the game. You're complaining just to complain. It's very simple.
- SABRES 89

We don’t have enough talent to win some of these games

We miss tuch and that extra good top 6 forward.

Olofsson is useless in the top 6 and got banned to the 4th line.

greenway is useless on the 3rd line. I liked him on the 4th.

Complain about coaching

Complain about defense

Complain about individual players

BUT NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT THE REFS. Only what a ref would say.

"Or get outworked by a trap team in your own zone"

You said everything about it. Implying the Islanders shouldn't score ever cause they play a trap D.

Their whole game is out working the other team

- DirtyDan

No, I mean get outworked by a trap team. I mean work harder than them, don't let them control the flow, you control it. Out working them in your zone leads to less offensive opportunities and we didn't do that.

It would be great if the teams and leagues were sincere about them and other themes they spousal support and did not use them as political ploys and pure marketing.

Someone brought up National anthems. I have read for example, that the NFL, aka by some as the no fun league, did not originally play the national anthem before its games. The teams therein only started to do so after they were paid to by the recruitment arms of the armed forces to play the anthem. That is patriotism for you! Honor only after honorariums. In my opinion, the owners and administrators of any of the major leagues (for the most part; there are always exceptions) don’t care about anything other than money and winning, and as long as they are taking your money, winning doesn’t really ultimately matter either. Especially in these tax-free, “non-profit” leagues what else is there be to be concerned about.

Baseball started playing the National Anthem in 1918 NFL in 1941 I hardly think they were getting paid to do so, more likely it was for Patriotic as at that time we were in war. Maybe since then teams have been paid in some capacity by the goverment but for what I have no clue.

I am a Patriot, I love this country and I respect the HELL out of any man or woman who has fought for this great nation without conditions. I have taught both of my kids when you are at a sporting event or anywhere you hear the star spangled banner, you take your hat off, put your hand over your heart and stand at attention.
thats just me...

Yes they are a trap team. They work hard. Thats their style.

We played their game not ours. Why we looked bad.

I think it would be close I don’t think it’s a guarantee

Islanders have won or gotten a point in 5/6 games

Ottawa is playing great lately and Pittsburgh won’t go away.

And Florida is starting to turn it around

- sbroads24

You're acting like the teams you mentioned are going to magically play well for the remainder of the games.

The reason the race is so close is all the teams have gone through ups and downs.

I'd expect the same, just like I would expect for the Sabres not to go 14-5 or 13-6 the remainder of the way.

I don’t want to get into things that were relevant 100 years ago that aren’t relevant today.

I’m fine with it. It’s more relevant at the Olympics or WJC.

I don’t play the national anthem everyday before I start work.

It’s not needed at regular season sporting events

Why not?

I think it is.

My grandfather and thousands like him went to war for others to be here. The least we can do is give a minute of our time before a fvkcin game.

Uh, the Penguins don’t have to play that well to get to 96 points over the last 19 games. They’re at 73 already

The Islanders are rolling and the games in hand are meaningless now.

It’s a hard feat to accomplish

If you want to keep arguing against a <10% chance go ahead

Sure did, should get suspended but if anyone in the league deserves it from his past behavior it is Perry

"A goal also cannot be scored on a play where an attacking Player kicks any equipment (stick, glove, helmet, etc.) at the puck, including kicking the blade of his own stick, causing the puck to cross the goal line."

So as long as it is a distinct kicking motion, which it was, then it should have been called no goal as it was on the ice. Where it deflects off of is inconsequential.

Marchand did the same thing mid-play like a week or 2 ago and no one talked about it.

Bush league with the inconsistencies.

Uhhh, the Penguins are 5-5 in their last 10.

That same pace the remainder of their games gets them to 93 points, and that's giving them a 10-9 record the rest of the way.

I think the above is Cleary wrong IMO.

The only reason we have a country where we can debate this kind of subject is because of the men and woman who have died for our rights. To stop and pay some respect before a fooking GAME is the least we can do. its 2 mins out of our preciouses lives.
