They do every game, having people in front of are net alone is nothing new. Losing Tuch Hurts more than just are offense. He is one of the better back checkers on the team and good along the boards. It disrupt s the offense cause lines change.

Injuries happen to every team.

If Buffalo can’t deal with it they have more problems than we thought.

I will very rarely buy an injury excuse.

Especially when all I heard is how Quinn can just step in and be fine.

This team was always very thin. This has been well known since September.

If the top line isn't scoring, this team is screwed on most nights.

Now they are very thin? This team that is LOADED with talent is suddenly thin?

Sure they happen to every team, but Buffalo doesn't have the depth yet for that.

The Sabres clearly do not have the character to go out and play hard for 60 minutes and gut out wins that are critical...

Actually I was very high on the Sabres until last night. They just seem to choke all the time. This game likely cost them the playoffs. They played 5 good minutes of hockey last night. That is not acceptable

im a little surprised but im glad you feel (felt) that way.

Their position in the playoff hunt is unsurprisingly indicative of where this team is at, developmentally.

Before the start of the season, everyone demanded this team should be fighting for a playoff spot with meaningful games in March.

They have done so. I know the emotions run high around here for a loss like this and I'm certainly no exception. But it's not over yet. And these guys are only going to get better.

Hang in there, folks. That's probably something no one wants to hear anyone say. But hang in there.

No they don't, and that goes with being the youngest team in the league and learning how to win those games. And not having the depth to cover for injuries hurts that to. Once the Sabres fast break is taken away they haven’t learned how to adjust quickly enough and that's where Tuch comes in cause he is strong along the boards and a good back checker. Sabres are week along the boards and it kills them.

What does hitting have to do with it, being tough along the boards and winning puck battles has nothing to do with hitting. You can be a tough team to play against and not have to hit 30 times a game.

If sports leagues abandoned "theme" nights altogether, I wouldn't shed a tear, and that includes the "easy" ones like Military Appreciation and Hockey Fights Cancer.

I am still po'd about the winning goal last night. How in the fook that is not a distinct kicking motion is beyond me.

He lifted up is leg off the ice moved it forward (ie kicking) and the puck went in direct as a result of that motion,

Someone please tell me I'm not crazy.
