Are you really expecting that many moves? I'm hoping for 1 significant trade, and that may be asking for too much.
If they aren't relying on rookies next year, then they are the following year. - Lunaion

No I’m not expecting it.
I’m expecting a big move at goalie. And a few underwhelming Hinostroza/Lyubushkin moves - sbroads24
Have a feeling they are expecting Levi quicker than people think and we don't see a big move there.

I don’t think they are tbh. They are pretty consistent with people spending time in Rochester

I think the plan is 1 year in Roch, with a chance to be up sooner. Think that rules out a significant G move. Maybe a backup swap.

I definitely don’t think that rules anything out. They are 2-3 years away from him being anything close to a workhorse type goalie.
There’s been very, very few guys to play a ton of games as rookies or 2nd year goalies. And they’ve “tried” to get Gibson even after acquiring Levi.
I agree Levi is what they consider their long term 1G. But I’d bet money they go goalie hunting
Demko could be a target. 3 years remaining at a modest 5 mil. Gets a bulk of starts for 1 1/2 - 2 years and Levi slowly takes over. Would basically line up with when you’d have to give Levi a long term or bridge deal |

I think they see UPL + Levi and that hasn't changed. Comrie was the bridge and may still be. What you're suggesting is giving up on UPL, after a season they wanted him to spend in Roch. That's a big departure for them.

This late season collapse might take Dahlin out of the running to be a Norris candidate
That’s a shame
Also means Comrie might not get Vezina. - sbroads24
Please tell me that his best friend wasn’t Rasmus Aspland??
It would be the most Sabres-suckers thing of all if the best defenseman they have had in eons leaves in FA bc of Rasmus Fing Asplund. |

UPL isn’t their guy though. I think that’s a big difference. Don’t think they feel married there.
If they go into next year assuming UPL is going to carry a #1 workload then we’re worse off then you and I even think.
There’s just absolutely no way Comrie is back as a 1 or 2. I’d put money on it. He’s statistically one of the 5 worst goalies in all of hockey right now.
Them almost refusing to play him for a few weeks when he got healthy is very telling |

Jost a good value bottom 6 player. He’s kinda what we hoped Hino or Bjorlkwould be. He stays I bet |

Young and soft team, finishing the season like a young and soft team, that’s what the Sabres call growth.
Girgs, Olo, Okposo, L.A.-Busch-can, Comrie, have 0 purpose and provide no value on or off the ice.
Gerbe watched Moneyball before he moved into Adams office and it shows. The Sabres are bottom feeders praying scraps will be sufficient for the fans.
It wouldn’t surprise me to see the team moved south and Hamilton get a franchise. Money talks and Adams walks. |

I haven’t.
The Sabres aren’t bad enough to tank, and there were no moves to make to have them be a cup contender this year.
Being in no mans land is the worst place to be in, but at least they were sensible enough to not rush their inevitable cup window. - Swedish_Jesus

It's coming, a few more years and they will be ready to go out and get some help to push them over the hump. 2028 here we come. MAYBE!!! |

I’m surprised climate change hasn’t forced them to speed up the timeline. The Great Lakes will swallow up Buffalo in 18 months. |

What did Adams say last offseason about the amount of games they prefer their goalies have in the AHL...wasn't is like 100? That would be ~3 seasons. I could be wrong, it might be lower.
In any case I would think they believe 2+ seasons is their ideal. |

I would usually agree with this, but with what Adams has not done with getting a goalie kinda shows a different plan with Levi. |

Everything is going in place perfectly 2023 is going to be a fun summer finally just next puzzle piece is Levi soon.
Its up to him if he wants the ATO or money up front and burn the year .
Lots of people believe he can finish the year on buffalo and push them into the playoffs with the help of Johnson
