Did the ref standing 8 feet from the play, see something different then Toronto? Did he misinterpret the rule?
I think you're right on this one, as you can imagine, sucks to lose that way. Even a point keeps us alive until Thursday...... - Boss34
I’m sure in live action speed it looked like he kicked it in, especially if the ref’s eyes are following the puck in from the point.
Does suck to lose that way, but they coulda woulda shoulda yada yada yada....
Would’ve been really nice to have the four point swing go the other way.

I'm biased, just watched it a few more times.
Intentionally kicked the puck. Weather it hit his shin pad or not. The more angles, the worse it looks.
Ref says no goal, replay should show some perponderus of evidence. I think you explained the rules pretty fairly...
Couldn't imagine complaining, about someone complaining about Hockey.... on a Hockey forum.
Biggest game/call in the last 10-12 years screws us and people should just shut up about it? YEAH RIGHT
I'll complain about it till the cows come home. - DirtyDan
You can discuss hockey on a hockey forum. You can cut the language problem you have, the threats of violence, the political talk, the name calling or you won't be here to do so.

You're stuck on the "kicking motion". That's a different rule altogether, rule 37.4. Get that out of your mind.
Rule 78.5 applies here. If a player uses anything besides his stick to bat the puck into the net its no goal. Head butting it, elbowing it, hip checking it, kneeing it, anything besides the stick all are illegal.
If you are asserting that he didn't use his shin to bat the puck into the net then I don't know what to tell you. "Kicking motion" is not even relevant. - TheHank
Crosby and Marchand both scored power play goals vs FL, both standing alone at side of net, pass in their feet, overtly turn skate blade to redirect puck into net. Good goal both times. Wasn’t a kick or a bat, but it was obviously intentional. It was considered just a deflection off a player. That’s the only way I can see that they can justify the final call last night.

Is this a playground? Are you 5? You are responsible for your actions and words. Regardless of what is said to you. You had to physically press a button and type a response multiple times instead of ignoring such childish baiting. Nobody forced you to do such a thing so you will be held responsible for what you do here.
Politics, religion, and ‘causes’ have no place in sports.
People watch sports to escape. No need to depress the poop out of people just wanting to shut off and watch a game not hear about tragedy. There is so much access and awareness around pretty much everything at this point with technology etc., if you don’t care or contribute to a cause by now you never will.
