Pavelski wouldn't have made one bit of difference. Wilson put the org. into decline with a weak prospect pool and albatross contracts of Burns, Jones, Vlasic, Couture, Hertl. Sharks had their competitive window and it is long past time for a complete rebuild.

I agree but when they let the captain walk. It changed the dynamic of that team and they have been a mess since. Joe Pa is still playing at a high level 4 years later. Not to mention it reduced Brent Burns effectiveness. Pavelski feasted on his shot from the point.

It reminds me of how Florida was so smart last year for adding Erik Staal. He's a veteran that has never won a Cup and the kind of guy the Panthers would try to win for.

Some readers pointed out that Eric Staal had won a Cup in 2006. Led the Hurricanes in playoff scoring. But technically, this Erik Staal guy had no Cups. So a gamble for Florida. It obviously didn't work.

Florida would have been wise to add a guy who has won a couple of Cups. Someone like Jarret Staal. Some people will get technical and say Jarret Staal never won a Cup. Jarret Stoll would disagree.
