I’m just happy they finally got someone that can get Carter a good pass around the net. - Grinder47
Yea I don't hate Granlund, would have been nice if they could get some of that contract retained. |

Another first round exit and hex is gone by the draft. They may have a chance against Carolina but if they play the bruins their going to be in trouble |

Listening to the Bonino interview today he said Greer came to him and said this is what’s on the table and he thought Pittsburgh was the best fit. Hextall could have easily been all in on some guys and they just chose a different team. - Grinder47
If they don't have a NMC or NTC its not up the player at all hahaha.... in this case Grier discussed it with Bonino....lots of times players are blindsided by trades. Funny to not only think that Hex could of tried to get the other guys, but also that that he was all in on them, and that all the players traded without those clauses in their contract simply said no to going to the Pens hahaha |

Grier is a bad GM. MTL got a better return in the Bonino deal. |

Poor POJ...looks like he will be scratched for Kilarosterspot
Should be Dumo. POJ brings a few things none of the other D-men besides Tanger can bring...such as great skating and getting up the ice swiftly and efficiently. |

Yea I agree. But if Dumo goes back to real bad Dumo I can see POJ coming in for Dumo |

Time for a new coach in addition to a new GM
5v5 goal differential this season
POJ: +14
Petry: +3
Rutta: -2
Ruh: -2
Pettersson: -3
Letang: -6
Dumo: -16
It’s so glaringly obvious on what LD should sit |

Yeah for sure Dumo has looked a fair bit better the last handful of games. However, I still dont see Sully scratching him no matter how bad he plays haha.

Yet the last 5 games Dumo is your only D with a minus 5v5 goal differential. Meanwhile POJ is 5 GF and 0 GA. Sully is cooked. |

Without looking I would say that mostly came from the last game vs the Panthers where the whole team was sh!t the first half of game. At the very least though he shouldn't be on the top pair with Letang. Shelter him a bit if you MUST start him hahah
Also "a fair bit better" from absolute trash doesn't mean stellar or great hahaha |

Just crazy they are following the Red Wings blueprint so perfectly.
This is similar to Ericsson and Kronwall getting way too much ice time while effective players in Smith and Kindl get limited ice time or scratched. |

And the justification is likely that POJ is the only recent regular that isn’t on either special teams unit. |

I am guessing they will run a rotation through the guys to keep everyone fresh. I think you have to consider the fact that POJ has been very sheltered vs Dumo but I still agree that I would like to see POJ playing over him.
If Sullivan is smart, he will start working POJ in with Letang to test him out before the playoffs. Rotate the 4 LD through the next month to make sure everyone is fresh for playoff time.

He has to play from my understanding. Emergency recalls mean there are not 12 healthy forwards. |

If a GM has basically the save deal (draft picks) from multiple teams I could absolutely see them letting the player have some input. I’d rather go to Ottawa than the Pens. |
