Anders Bjork has 3 more points than Patrick Kane since the trade deadline.

On top of it, Zaitsev is on the ice for us and we got their 2nd round pick.

Make that 3

SJ won so hawks can win and still not lose position.

- Revco38

Bjork will be traded next TDL for a 1st and 3rd round picks.

Stalock has done nothing but good this season. Hopefully he’s played himself into a contract with a contender next season as a #2. Not sure there’s room for him here, they’re stuck with Mrazek for another season. And, he’s reportedly good in the room.

What is noticeable tonight is bad team defense by Ottawa. They can score a lot but aren’t working hard enough defensively. They have Chabot, Sanderson, and now Chychrun so they look like they should be quite capable offensively on the blue line. There were calls to replace their coach previously yet now they appear to have plenty of talent. Maybe the right kind of center? Needed? Tzchuch and Stutzle breaking out and at least three other top forwards plus an injured good forward.

WTF….

4-0 going into the third….

Any chance the Hawks pull the goalie to try to run up the score?

Exhale…..

3rd game of misfit hockey players Ottawa thought we couldn't get it out of our own zone, so very impressed with the passing we have had to exit it today, how many 2 on 1s have we had 5? 6? Tonight

First period they had Giroux and Stutzle skating in on breaks very wide open. Good bout Tzchuk and Tinordi.

Notes:

So C Jones was pushing Tzchuk, sticking up for his goaltender in a net skirmish. So see here C Jones is good for something

Mrzeck plays as starter over Stallock next season? With Stauber and Soderstrom playing well one of them has to be in the NHL - or both rotated - if Comesso turns pro. No room for Stallock?

Mitchell may be running out of opportunities. Clearly he is very good in the AHL but is tentative in NHL. Blackhawks hinder his developmental process when he sits. Wiz indicates C Jones is playing because someone has to and perhaps he isn’t as bad as others - like a struggling Mitchell

I don’t know what is up with Mitchell. Bad defense partner causes anyone difficulty and C Jones is bad. This is who I want to be headlights- C Jones

Continue to be impressed with HCLR and the rest of the coaching staff - team doesn’t stop working regardless of what happens to the roster. This bodes well for bringing in prospects and having them play the right way.

Domi had an assist on Seguin goal tonight. Dallas had been trying to find someone to play with Seguin
Next season I would rather have Domi return over Seguin. No longer a fan of Sequin

If you recall there was debate who would go first in the draft their year, Sequin or T Hall

T Hall kind of seemed he might be a carbon copy of Messier

T Hall has not exactly scored a lot and I will grant I do not know his role or linemates in Boston this season. Maybe Hall will have a career year but never be a big scorer each season

Outshot 35-21, nonetheless the incredible Stallock was back in form (including chirping). A fast skating group worked hard and was better prepared than Ottawa, The Senators thought Chicago would be a pushover. Oh BTW our big money guy, S Jones had two goals….soon he will be threatening C Caulfield!

KD picked up Bjork for nothing who may be a keeper

Not necessarily: https://www.capfriendly.c...ut-calculator/petr-mrazek

Though it's all about the salary floor now. And Mrazek has looked better lately, as if he knows a buyout is a possibility. Probably the best they can hope for is he plays better and they can deal him next deadline.

Bhawks should have traded JT and PK long time ago to start the rebuilding process...This team is now coachable and can play defense and grinding hockey.. Not possible with Kane on the ice which slows down the games....Ranger just lost hopes of winning any Cup by getting Kane.....Kane is yester-year news.

Funny. The Hawks were one of (if not) the best team in the league on face-offs. They now can barely win one and they somehow look more competitive.

Think it was Dots that said it a few days back, seriously, Luke should get some votes for the Jack Adams.

I don't know, these two work out kind of good. They both get injured a lot, so the AHL guys get some time. You need to spend to the floor, so having both isn't going to hurt you.

Only issue is i guess is that Stalock if he ever stayed healthy, would hurt any further tanking you are planning on.

I'd rather keep Stalock over Mrazek.
