In the event you haven't been watching, McCabes been playing on our top pair. He's definitely not a third pairing defenceman on any team.

Holl has played in our top 4. The leafs have had many players play above their skillsets.
We are deep with bottom pair guys, so some will get moved up.
And he is a very good 3rd pairing D that could fill 2nd line when needed for stints.
