Dahlin is not ruled out for tomorrow so that is good news. Tuch is still out for a bit which is unfortunate. He definitely helps bring the energy

They've got social media of Dahlin practicing all over the place. He's playing tomorrow unless something strange happens overnight.

He won't be missed in Minnesota. I think the Sabres could have gotten him for a lot less in the off-season.

He's big, physical and defensively responsible.

He's a really nice bottom-sixer with some untapped offensive potential. It's not a sexy move, bit it's solid

1-0 SOL to Arizona
6-5 OTL to Buffalo
3-0 W to Detroit
7-3 L to Pittsburgh
4-1 L to Florida
5-4 OTL to Pittsburgh

Have not been helping us with their losses to Pittsburgh and Florida, but they have been getting pounded in goal. 22 GA in their last 5 with one of them being a shutout.

But, the run to 8th itself is a learning experience in itself. The young Sabres have gotten smacked in some games vs top teams, and have also let some slip away against lower teams.
I guess management thinks they’re not at the point to pay inflated deadline prices for players, even if they have some term left. Let the boys learn more about what it takes to win big games down the stretch run for 8th spot, let the chips fall where they may. They’ll make their moves this summer.

I actually like the moves, think we overpaid some but we got something this team is sorely lacking!! Grit and a bit of toughness. Can't say that I didn't want more but It is what it is.
Only thing I don't understand is not weaponizing are Cap. I really don't care if I helped East teams, if you are building through the draft, could have gotten a few picks retaining. If I don't do it someone else will(Arizona) might as well benefit from the trade to, not like I am gonna stop it by saying No.
