I love how these people accused us of constantly being negative and their retorts to this stuff are wildly negative. “The player wouldn’t wanna sign here” and “the team is terrible. They shouldn’t even be in the playoffs they would get rolled by Boston.”

.It’s really laughable to watch them talk themselves in circles.

Also, hasn’t every team in the NHL been Boston’s doormat this year?

also remember when Columbus was going to be Tampa’s doormat and then poof.

I would love to hear what you guys think.... Last night against the Bruins I felt that Granato wanted the Sabres to play a tighter game defensively, which they suck at, and try to win a low scoring squeaker IMO they should have played a run and gun game and tried to win a high scoring game.....Am I way off here?

The Sabres play the same game every night, Boston choked out their rush based attack and ragged the game into the mud.

I learned from Schopp a couple things about what Adams’ said.

1. Granato pounded his fist to get Greenway. He coached him and Tage on a U18 team. Granato said he can work with him and he’ll be an important player.

2. Adams answer regarding all of the losing. Said we cannot let that impact our decision making.

Really like both of those points.

It’s like when the Bills try to commit to running the ball. Why? Blow the doors off a team by playing the way you play well then just hunker down as you’re waiting for the clock to run out.

The funny part is …..

Adams is sticking to his plan. People here poop on Tim Murray and botts for lack of vision and planning. Adams has a plan. Shame on him.

Then greenway and Stillman …. Many people here wanted grit. That is why we brought in. And people aren’t happy

Overall. I am fine with today. It’s not about playoffs today. Teams should not waste assets to go “all in” on just making playoffs.

The pens are doing that. Let’s see how far they get

The elite teams got better and we are 2-3 steps behind those teams

Oh wow, that was the Eichel pick they used:

Eichel, 5th

For

Krebs
Tuch
Ostlund
Greenway

You take that deal every day of the week

- Hank Balling

I saw a redraft based on Libby’s from 2015. mcdavid 1, money Mitch 2, Timo 8, Eichel, not even on the list. Lol. Good riddance to the guy who thinks he is good but sucks.

Two final takeaways from Adams presser:

1. He's quite happy with the goaltending. WTF!? Be ready for UPL and Comrie.

2. As soon as he tells everyone how awesome our goaltending is, he says, "Well. Thanks, guys. I don't know when I'll see ya again." I got the distinct feeling it would be after the regular season.

😆

I don't know how you come out and talk about how great goaltending is when you have had awful goaltending for years. Just pretending the problem doesn't exist doesn't make it go away.

Are you going to be happy with Comrie and UPL next season too?

Portillo didn't see a path to the NHL in Buffalo

What a clown, looking at our roster his biggest hurdle is Levi...

- Stripes77

Well that is a goalie I dont want than... if you dont think you can beat the other guys out your never going to make it anyway. Buffalo has it goalie field WIDE open anyone that doesn't see that as a player....see ya

I still feel like I'm going to wake up from this fever dream where Tage has 80 points and Eichel has 45

Maybe he just has a different view and the plan is to waiting until Levi arrives. UPL will be better next year then this year... Dont know why you can't figure out it takes time for these kids to develop. we are 2 years away... I for one am okay with what he is doing. unlike all these people that want to replace the kids with proven players Most everyone here wanted Tage gone... last year it was cozens. someone said last year he would never be a center that would score 40 points. this year it's (UPL, Peterka)

I think the goalies suck big time. But the gm isn’t gonna say that publicly.

He has 79 hits in 13:09 in ice time this year with 45 GP. That puts him 3rd behind Dahlin (82) and Samuelsson (80). Last year he had 155 hits.

I know many people don't care about hits and claim it means you don't have the puck, but the Sabres needed this guy: big bruising defensive forward.

He is not Girgensons or Okposo or Larsson or Asplund

Replaces okposo immediately next season and 2024 for 3 million not 6+ million.

Really good move IMO.

Perfect vibe age. Young vet.

Nice to see someone wanted elmer asplund, replaced the smallest guy with the biggest. About time.

Since last season the book came out - whether it is always successful or not - you hit Dahlin when you play Buffalo. He may take a penalty; he may get hurt. Finally something is done about it. Long overdue, but better late than never.

Does it really change much in that regard? Don't you still hit Dahlin? If Greenway is on with him, maybe some of the after the whistle stuff changes.

Rasmus Dahlin is definatively not the toughest guy on the team anymore. That is a meaningful change. A couple brawls and teams will act differently. It won't happen overnight, but we added two guys who are completely different stylistically than we had already. I suspect over time it will male a difference not only for Dahlin but for our forwards.

I like that aspect of the moves, don't get me wrong. Just think hit Dahlin continues to be the focal point for everyone. It's effective.

It's not like Dahlin is a shrinking violet either. He's a tough SOB that doesn't take sh¡t from anyone.

That's the gameplan in the NHL, beat the sh¡t out of the star players.
