Everyone remember how bad the PK was when Blueger was out injured? Those good times are right around the corner. The PK will be a poop show again

He will be on that line, which makes them better. I always thought Teddy could be a 3c but it did not work well earlier this year. Don’t understand the hate for this trade. I always thought Granlund was a pretty dangerous player.

The problem for me is, what's the point? I'm fine with the player, but he isn't moving the needle on us having a chance to compete and taking on his full salary for 3 years just handcuffs what we are able to do next year.

There just seemed to be so many better options out there. And now we have Granlund at $5M and we can't resign the better player (Zucker) when his cap hit would likely be lower than that.

I hope FSG just says (frank) it, we are tanking. Whack Hextall and have anyone just start selling off assets... like, what's Ray Shero up to these days? Just don't let him draft D men in the first round.

I don't even care if the returns are great. Lets get some picks, lets suck bad enough to have a lottery ball for Bedard and bring in a new GM to try to do something positive.

Who knows... maybe there is a plan... I was very happy with dropping Kap and the Blueger trade. I just thought there might actually be something positive about to happen. Maybe there still is, maybe Rust is headed to Vancouver in a Miller trade? If we do something major, there has to be a major contract headed out.

I was always the first guy to argue for keeping Blue for that reason, but the PK has been trash already for a while now...just 70% over the past 6 weeks and back down to 15th overall.

Tbh I would have rathered us not making the trade and just letting our prospects play on the bottom 6...guess that can't happen now
- 123Kid

Can still happen since we have even less room to fill out our roster now.

Yohe just posted a brutal article about Hextall. I dont recall a beat writer going after a team GM like that before (every word Yohe said was true).

Coming into the trade deadline the Penguins needed to get older, slower, less committed to forechecking, pooptier defensively, worse at scoring goals, and less flexible against the cap.

Mission accomplished

Yeah and he warned Twitter before posting that it was going to be scathing. Hex is all but fired. The beat doesn’t publish stuff like that and jeopardize their access unless they know there won’t be future consequences.

As soon as the page opens, hit "CTL" and "A" on the keyboard. It highlights everything before the paywall stops your access. Copy it and paste it in a word document.

Oh sh!t, I can't thank you enough. I had heard about that but read that it only worked on IPhones which I don't have and my dumb old ass never even thought of trying on the PC. About to enjoy it now lol

Never seen anything that vicious either. He nailed every point and the last couple of lines were just epic. Granlunds nickname has to become pork chop lmfao

Yohe definitely isn’t wrong. However, I have to think how far off Hextall and Sullivan are. Did Sullivan advocate for resigning Kapanen? Did Sullivan want Carter over McCann?

But with Sullivans little comments, maybe they are at a disagreement

Kapanen is a classic case I think of a player being genuinely liked despite obviously being a problem. Lots of reports that everyone in the org and on the team liked his quirky little personality a lot and just wanted him to succeed real bad. I think he had a lot of decision makers in his corner unfortunately.

McCann might have been a Sullivan casualty. He seemed to be constantly in the dog house despite clearly being a positive on any line he got out on. I never got that one. But either way the Yohe point about not having to protect Carter is on point. Grinder wasn’t the Seattle GM. He was in no danger of being taken.

Carter is 100% a Hextall guy. Unsure how Sully sees him but Hex was part of the FO that won Cups in LA on the backs of Kopitar, Carter, Brown, and Quick. Hex owns that one 100%.

DK made a quip about how if GMJR were here, he would have gotten ROR weeks ago.. and I bet thats 100%.

I'd bet my left nut he would have also found a way to get tkachuk last year too.

And Letang wouldn’t be here and Matheson would be our 1D.

So they finally got Carter a setup man. Going to be nice to go out on a 20 goal season next year.

If you remember correctly I vehemently wanted to expose Carter and Malkin to protect Tanev and Mcann. Neither of those two were getting selected.

At the time im pretty sure Geno couldn't be exposed (NMC) and there's no way he waive it for that poop, I wouldn't waive it either. Now Carter could have been exposed at that time. McCann should have been protected over Carter.

Wait, is this what you are hearing? I'm guessing both Mcginn and Petterson go for Boeser? Ugh why couldn't it be Dumo

Pens are getting spanked tonight, aren't they?

Seems like there's a lot of bad mojo on the go.

There’s probably a lot more here than in the actual dressing room. I don’t think the players fancy themselves as GM’s as much as the hockey Twitter crowd does.
