They're at 23 guys right now, and nobody can go down without waivers (except Woll).
They have to deal a defenceman. - Atomic Wedgie
No, Santo shared the post deadline rules. You can carry more than 23 but have to be cap compliant.
Leafs could call up a guy making 850k or less and carry 24 guys as of Friday at 3pm. |

#Yotes trading for Jakub Voracek’s contract now gives them ultimate flexibility in next 24 hours to move core pieces such as Nick Schmaltz or Lawson Crouse, as they see fit, and not have to worry about the salary cap floor.
Can crouse play 2lw? |

I think it's funny Dubas brings in THREE forwards, one being a top 2 center and people are still saying they will be pissed if he doesn't bring in another winger. - Aaron_85
Our 12 forwards look pretty locked to me. Especially knowing you've got Holmberg and Hunt with some experience and Knies with some "hope". Even Simmonds for some late season punch ups could be an option. Hell, could dress 7 D for a game here or there in a pinch.
Too many D isn't ever a thing. Gust and Timmins are press box depth. Schenn, Holl and Lilly battle/rotate to earn those last two spots. That's ok by me.
But, I'm sure he's sniffing around and if a middle six forward is available and makes sense ...then why not. |

Still funny 2 weeks ago people were arguing over one winger or maybe a depth winger. Dubas brings in 3 forwards and people complain it's not enough.
Sure Dubas could make another deal but I think the idea of saying it's not enough if he doesn't is funny to me.

I'm fine with them staying where they are but come on, what's the in point in having prospects or draft picks if they'll never develop them into a real team? Should just have 31 teams draft the Coyotes players and prospects.

Rangers deemed ineligible by league for emergency recall, with Lindgren still out and Miller under suspension. Will go 12+5 tonight v Ottawa in Kane's debut.

Maybe. I just don't think that they think that Schenn is as good as Holl.
Maybe they simply try to flip Gustafsson for the best pick offered on Friday. - The Law
Schenn is better than Holl. Schenn is a fan fav in Vancouver……can you say that about Holl in TO? Schenn defends his top players. Schenn won’t let anyone run our goalie. And I guarantee you RNH would not be rag dolling Luke Schenn. |

Want more upfront if it can be done without hurting D. 3rd line will have trouble against TBL without ROR and 2nd doesn’t cut it with Jarnkrok. Defensive pairings without either Schenn or Holl possible if both Brodie and McCabe play on the right.

Mix and match as you see fit. Gus is an offence first guy but he could get Brodie or McCabe. Schenn becomes #7 if Holl is gone.
It’s really a question of whether you’re happy with forwards

Doing quick math from Capfriendly, they have $28M in LTIR contracts, and another $2M in retained salary. |

Mike Augello: Is Dubas Done After Trio Of Deals? Leafs vs. Oilers - mikeinbuffalo
how long does dufuss keep his wagon hitched to queeb🤔?
clearly there are plenty of nights where he doesn’t have them ready to ska8t🤦🏿♂️
could we see a late season coaching change if they keep free falling after kylie gets him all these new toys?🤔
edit: nice alliteration 👍🏿 |
