Hard to say with what he has done so far. I have heard this line(not from you) far too much the last few weeks to believe it. - Santo_44
I would absolutely love another move, I just personally think its unlikely.
Priorities IMO
RHD Top pairing dman, at offensive dman. Id even settle for someone like Klingberg who can run the PP, as long as he is paired with a stay at home defensemen
Legit top goalie - Saros
Top 6 LW - Wilson, or ?

Ek has a good source saying the Leafs are looking at Lankinen. Normally I don't pay much attention to Ek's sources, but this one is a good one. Thoughts? |

Anything EK says you can garauntee it will not happen. Ek's sources are the TSN, and Sportsnet insiders twitter accounts, and his keyboard |

I think no more D is coming
a Goalie? would be surprising and unlikely but who knows
LW makes a lot of sense. There is boring likely names like Sheary(Dubas tried to sign him)
JVR-meh
After bertuzzi Perron is the guy. But tough trade to pull off.
Domi is still there too...Not sure about him though |

This... uh... this was a joke.
I thought it was funny that Ek specified this was one of his "good" sources |

I agree Goalie would be surprising, but the Leafs havent had a top goalie since Belfour, and since then no sucess...Saros would be huge
Most good teams that have won, either have elite D, or a top end goalie. Maybe Pitts is an exception.
Leafs are lacking in both those departments. Reilly isnt a #1 dman IMO.

I like the Schenn add...just not at the expense of a forward |

Yes, he wanted depth, but the main thing was to get under the cap. Is Keefe going to play Schenn over Holl? Id say thats unlikely. If he does, Holl goes to depth.
As I said, likely minor moves, which means moving out a dman probably. I wouldnt be surprised at all if he just flipped one for a pick. - Archaic
9 D and 12 forwards is uneven depth. I think the 3rd line is a vulnerability. Moving one of those D and a forward to upgrade would help. Depending on who they want, they can spend as much as $6M by moving out Kerfoot and Holl. Cheaper options could involve Gustafson or Kampf or ZAR.

While it should be Holl...I think its inevitable this guy is traded. |

My sense is the ask right now from Chicago on pending UFA Max Domi is a second-round pick that's down the road, similar to the price Colorado paid on Lars Eller |

More open to the idea now that they added better players.
Would prefer him over JVR or Sheary. |

I can't imagine going forward with 9 D.

I was watching the hockeybuzz podcast just to see how cringe it was, and he dead seriously said he was talking to a GM blah blah blah. Like, you really expect us to believe an NHL GM is calling you up to chat during TDL week?!??! Delusional.

Depends cost of whatever forward Kyle is looking to bring in. Do they need an extra $2M (Holl) or less (Gus). |

I agree with you. 3rd line is a weakness.
Kerfoot and Holl both have a modified NTC. Its harder to move them then people think
They for the most part will have some bottom feeders on their NTC, and teams they dont want to play on. Then a contender has to want them (being UFAs), and then the Leafs want to have to trade them to those teams (Western conference mostly).
I dont think they trade Kampf. Again, he is a UFA, so you have to pay to get rid of him, or trade him to a contender. Could be part of a big package, but he makes so little. |
