I have to agree. I guess restocking with a 1st isn't terrible, especially if Gustafsson can essentially replace Sandin in a pinch, but it still feels like a big logjam on D. Especially on the left side.

And I'd rather see McCabe play his natural side, so upgrading on Holl somehow would be helpful. Having some extra depth with Schenn and Gustafsson as extras is a pretty nice luxury.

So maybe if there's a way to upgrade at 2LW and move ROR to 3C, you gotta give that a go.

There are still possibilities, and despite all of the great adds, I too am feeling a bit greedy.

Finding a way to upgrade 2LW, 2RD and/or goalie insurance would be saaweeeeet.

But they don't need it. This isn't a team that should be retooling. They are beyond the (frank)ed-wall.

Remember in 2003 when the Leafs traded away EVERYTHING at the trade deadline? Like they Housley and Wesley and Gilmour and, and, and . . I can't even remember what else. Nolan? Anyway, then in 2004 the lockout comes. 29 teams in the NHL were like the squirrel in that fable with the squirrel and the grasshopper.

We had nothing. We were beyond the (frank)ed-wall. No prospects to step in, so we had to go out and overpay for has-beens to come here and almost be. Because of poor management stacked on top of poor management it took 10 years after this for someone to come along and point out that there's no coming back once you're over the (frank)ed wall. You're (frank)ed.

So you begin the process of blowing up everything you have so that you can get good stuff that helps you over the wall.

Vancouver has been teetering for a few years now, but they're over - and everyone knows it. Everyone but them, it would seem.
