What was the point of trading Sandin to WSH and brining back a 1st from boston? Can someone explain that, honestly curious what the angle is there

I thought Sandin was a valuable young D and is there something else Dubas is doing with that 1st? (I was thinking Dumba or Gavrikov - but the later is gone to LA)

I'm not so sure Holl goes unless there's a definite upgrade on RD.

Brodie is solid. Just a real hockey player. Nothing flashy, but super steady. Just knows where to go and where to stand.

Lilli looked over matched last night. Holl would be decent on the 3rd pair, unless Lilli moves down after an upgrade.

Last night issue was more of the top 6 ghosting.

ROR def needs to be 3rd C - Kerfoot gives him some wheels and Lafferty some bite.. that is a nice line.

I'll say it again.. Ekholm was a great get. That is who Leafers should have tried for..

Was fine with that move, Sandin was being pushed down with Rielly and now Mccabe, Gio, Brodie etc on the left..whoever is playing there

word is he was also not super happy about his role, and thats fine. think they got a fair return. leaf fans didnt think he would fetch much

Yup.

Kerfoot ROR Jarnkrok is a pretty good 3rd line. Good mix there.

I'd probably sit ZAR and have Acciari/Kampf/Lafferty as my 4th line. I did like the look of it last night, but Kampf makes that line better over ZAR.

He's been very decent last few years, bit of a renaissance man going on; good article out there from The Athletic on how he turned his game around.

I'm not saying he's top pairing material, but he'll be playing for sure, and would look better than Holl on most nights.
