Depends on the cost. If it’s a 2nd rounder or later, who gives a (frank). Trade it for help. Kane just got a 2nd and a 4th. You wouldn’t give that up to try Patty Kane with Sid or Geno?
Obviously Chicago’s hands were tied but you get the point. - j.boyd919

I definitely agree with no rentals. We are only tied to a few names right now rumor mill wise and honestly I think our 3rd line, backup goalie, and top LD in no certain order are definitely top priorities. I am kinda hoping Hex does go all in this year. I think Chychrun and Miller would be solid for this team. I think Boeser would also be a great get. If Gavrikov had another year on his deal I would be all for him (unless an extension was agreed upon before the deal was made). |

I just don’t see the point in wasting great seasons from Sid and Geno. Not sure how many more we’re going to get out of them so retool mid season. Own up to your mistakes and fix them. If they’re rentals and they walk, make smart decisions in free agency. |

Much rather have Miller over Boeser. Miller at least goes to the net and plays with a bit of snarl in his game. And on the surface the 8m deal sounds like a lot but that’s about the going rate for PPG players these days. |

I agree as well not only for what you said but it also leaves the top 6 in a great spot again next year. |

Is Gavrikov top pair material? I actually have no clue, and I don't watch cbus games. |

I’m really just (frank)ing around. Arm chair GM is boring to me. As long as it isn’t a rental I don’t care. I have no attachment to anyone on this team not named Crosby or Letang and I think they are safe. - Grinder47

McGinn is drawing in today? Can you play if you’re on waivers? |

Hahaha I know man, I kinda agree. Just think top 6 is still good, and set next season, so adding some good peices with term is much preferred. However, there is a part of me that feels this is a real F it time in Pens history hahah So just say F it and go for it b'y any means...East is so, so strong though... |

JT Miller at 6 mil would be digestible. He could essentially replace Zucker. But damn, 8 mil…?
I’m hoping the team can resign Zucker for a smaller 2 year/3-4 mil per season deal. Seems like he could get more for a 1 year deal, or much less for an extra year or 2. |

This game has the feel of looking past a depleted opponent. Preds are down Forsberg, Johansen, Parssinen, Jeannot and Ekholm...and they weren't great with them. Boys put in some work we should be able to grab the 2 points. |

Maybe it’s been brought up. If McGinn is on waivers how is he in the line up tonight? |

Why is 8m for a point per game player bad? |

Ekholm is a good get.. But wasn't Barrie part of the top PP in league history this season? Haha - MattStrat
Yeah, Ekholm is exactly what they needed but that team lives and dies by the PP and Barrie was great in that role. Could end up a massive mistake.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Barrie get flipped. He doesn't strike me as a Trotz guy. |

DeSmith likely gives up at least one goal so far. Jarry making the saves. |

Spot on, not to mention it's always cool to have a hometown impact player. My only reservation with bringing in Miller is that it will make us so top heavy we won't have cap room for any depth players.
Sure we are losing Zucker and Dumo but this $8M eats most of that space and we ate going to need to spend a lot more on goaltending next season. |
