I’m looking for 30-40 goals in my top six bud. And big game prime time players. I guess you’ll accept anything. As long as Carters there to take the fall.
- Grinder47

30-40 goals isn't top 6. That's clear cut 1W production. Jake is our 1W. Give me a team who has a top 6 made out of 4 1Ws.

I mean there's not any or many teams that have all 30-40 goal scoring wings on all 4 wings in the top 6

Crosby, Malkin, and Guentzel are all on pace to break 30 Gs. Rakell is on pace for 29 so very realistic. That's over half our top 6 being likely 30 goal scorers with the other two being 20+ goal scorers. That's really solid. The problem isn't up there. It's the third line.

They are so good they haven’t won a playoff round in how long?

So is Hex's deadline considered a success if we land Boeser, Miller and Chychrun?

Yeah like I said I need two more wingers up there. Then we can talk about the goalie then we can talk about getting Cartsy some suitable wingers for next year.

I know you know that goal tending was the difference in most of those series so I won't bother.

Unquestionably but we only have the cap/assets for maybe one of those and if we lose Pettersson in the process of acquiring that player it might be a wash.

I don't think so, tbh. That'd be stellar if he could land all three, but he needs to bring in a sufficient backup goalie for it to be successful IMO

I mean we just need forwards for the top 9, whether its for the actual third line or if its pushing Rust and/or Zucker down doesn't make a difference, so I guess you are technically correct.

I said wings haha but I suppose if your 2 centers are lesser you could have 4 wings that score at that pace?

I mean I would say so, I would worry about Jarry's health though.

Lol show me all these teams with six 30 goal scorers. Pretty sure that isn't a prerequisite to make the playoffs.

Your Carter comment is another strawman.

1) I don't think I've heard anyone say Carter is the team's only problem. A lot think he's the biggest.

2) I actually don't think he's the biggest though I do think 3C is easier to fix them our bigger problems (goalie, lack of a true top d pair).

No, I don't think Carter is the sole reason they've struggled, but he does play a big role.

You do realize we haven't had a damn starting goalie in the playoffs since we won the cup. Murray crumbled and then we've dealt with injuries to our goalies. Many forget but Jarry wasn't healthy against the Islanders, obviously he was useless against the Rangers.

I’m really just (frank)ing around. Arm chair GM is boring to me. As long as it isn’t a rental I don’t care. I have no attachment to anyone on this team not named Crosby or Letang and I think they are safe.

I'd say our top six is really the only solid area on the team.

Yea if we're going after Chychurn or Gavrikov bring their damn goalie with them too haha. I would feel better with Vejmelka or Korpisalo here.

(frank)ing right it is, and it's mainly because Zucker is healthy and is actually playing up to what he's supposed to be.

Depends on the cost. If it’s a 2nd rounder or later, who gives a (frank). Trade it for help. Kane just got a 2nd and a 4th. You wouldn’t give that up to try Patty Kane with Sid or Geno?

Obviously Chicago’s hands were tied but you get the point.
