First half of the 1st period was bad, rest of the game was okay. I am encouraged when a team like the Penguins play kinda flat for stretches but still find a way to win, especially when they went down 1-0.

Not sure if McGinn's dad is on the trip, but Im glad he got to play tonight... as everyone has mentioned, what a weird time for a dad's trip.

Friedman said on his podcast today that the Penguins could go the route of trading some of their pending UFAs, acquire some draft capital, and use it to acquire a guy like Chychrun.

With Ekholm to EDM and Garikov to LA... the Pens were the other noted suitor for Chychrun. Maybe helping our cause?

Also afraid to go to sleep with Vancouver being a team of interest that is 3 hours behind us...

Definitely, only other team I still hear linked is Toronto somehow??? Not sure I'm very happy about that. Afraid of the cost and really think a big ticket forward would help us more than another Dman. I'd much rather add Miller.

Sounds like a Dumo deal to me hahaha. Unfortunately Zucker as well. I don't want to resign Zuck because of his injury history but I want to hold on to him for the rest of this year. Dumo and Blue they can move. Unless it helps them get Miller as well. Dumo, Zuck, Blue out. Chychurn, Vejmelka, Miller in.

Some speculation on the Vancouver board that our trade target could be Connor Garland who can play LW or RW, and he costs less than JTM or BB. If you're going to trade with a Canadian team, makes sense to obtain a U.S. player - no visa issues. Also, with the LAK obtaining Gavrikov, we could end up getting both a Vancouver forward and Chychrun. Would like to see us get Vejmelka as a backup goalie, given that Jarry could end up leaving as a free agent.

Why did Columbus make that trade last night? Yeah they get a 1st but Quick is f'n cooked....just feel they could of gotten more for those two players....I guess I'm not behind the scenes at all haha who f'n knows what's really going on, being said or offered.

This has been a pretty crazy trade season...a lot of it will be done by the actual TDL but its been an entertaining week or so.

They get a first rounder and they take a step closer to improving their odds for Bedard?

Definitely the wildest trade season I can ever recall.

Bro go get some coffee.

The trade made Columbus even worse and they get a 1st.

Quick was a cap dump and a warm body to fill the roster.

Columbus already has one of the best lottery odds.

Yeah, goaltending is my #1 concern. Jarry is going to sink them again. Need a real backup option.

You could always sign Bryzgalov. I'm sure he'd be cheap since the Flyers are still paying him.

Dumo should land us a pick. Zucker would most likely be a pick and maybe a prospect. Bluegar I am unsure his trade value (then again with this crazy trade market he could net anything). If they ended up at the end of it all landing Chychrun and Crouse in one deal and Miller and someone else in separate deal I wouldn't mind it. I do agree with most that I would like another backup goalie option as well.

I wouldn't get rid of Zuck unless it guaranteed us getting Miller.
