Did hex or Jr bring mcginn in?
Problem is you knew what you were getting and extended him at a raise. - sammy87
Hex signed him in FA.
If Grinder wants receipts, McGinn gets signed on page 9 of this blog. Not a positive comment in sight. Egg on my face for thinking he'd be a good on-ice player despite the garbage contract I guess.

He's a million years old. If we can't find a way to medically retire him when guys are being put on IR for (frank)ing allergies to their socks, then IDK what we're doing. |

I remember everyone telling me McGinn was way better than Tanev and on a better contract. Lots of hind sight around here. - Grinder47

Fit in perfect on a Sullivan coached team. Does he give up on games a lot too? |

Sounds like the Canucks and Penguins talks are heating up. Hearing key piece from Vancouver is a forward with term. Wouldn't be shocked to see one or both of Pettersson/Joseph going back
ummmmmm - YouMeAndDupuis9
I hope the plan isn't to give Dumoulin another contract.
If we were getting Chychrun it might make sense to move Pettersson or POJ to clear out the logjam in front of Smith. They are both kind of #4s. Pettersson is better currently, but POJ might be able to handle the job and is cheaper with IMO more upside.
I'm saying that as a guy who has supported both POJ and Pettersson when it was popular to throw them into every trade. If the team can get a top pair defenseman, it might be a good idea to look at flipping one of them for forward help. |

I really don't understand our interest in another top 6 RW. Madden just said his source tells him this a real possibility.
It scares me that Hextall thinks their bottom 6 centers are adequate. |

Can’t worry about bottom 6 when top six is inadequate. Rust and Zucker are still 3rd liners on a good team. Pushing one or both of them down the lineup is helping both the problems. |

If your 3rd line center is decent...sure. If your 3C's hands are deader than the fish and wildlife around East Palastine....then no. |

Might be both. See how serious the injury is, but I'd be willing to just promote Smith who is hardly a rookie if they opened a spot. |

I’d hope any moves being made in the next two days are with next year in mind. A handsy 3c isn’t making this team capable of beating anyone in this years playoffs. |

Because we only have two NHL caliber RWs. We need another top 9 RW. We also need another top 9 LW, but that side is a little bit more varsity, but not by much. I agree that we need a 3C too, but these are all needs. We basically need a completely new 3rd line. Just an untenable position to be in. |

Sure if you think guys that are on pace for about 20 goals (25 for Zucker) and 50 points are third liners... |

I’m looking for 30-40 goals in my top six bud. And big game prime time players. I guess you’ll accept anything. As long as Carters there to take the fall. |
