Assuming the shedded McGinn salary, PIT would have to still add Dumo to Vancouver to make that work - maybe include Shenn as well?

I could see Dumo and then Van flip him for a different asset. Schenn will get a 2nd on his own. The McGinn problem is it's own mess that Hex has to deal with, mainly because of the term

Maybe Hex finds some other vet to round out the 3rd line which would be centered by Miller (although, Miller can also play wing in the Top 6)

It’s not like the rangers are top tier contenders. If he wanted to go there he’s probably willing to leave money on the table to stay. Isn’t he from Buffalo? Rags might have been his childhood team.

Anyways, never liked Kane. He had a bad rep as an bumhole around town when the Blackhawks would camp at Notre Dame while I was there and the Blackhawks dynasty years were insufferable. Will be fun to root against him on a rival team.

Bit of both. Everyone knew both those moves were bad when they happened but it took a certain amount of balls to actually waive them so I’ll give some credit there.

Lots of smoke around the #Canucks today. While there's a lot of JT Miller speculation, I'm told the Canucks & Penguins have had serious discussions about Brock Boeser. Work to be done, and other teams in play, but Boeser chatter picking up and PIT has genuine interest.

Even neutral scouting sites had Pouliot as a top ten prospect in the league at the apex of his hype. Didn't work out obviously because he had no drive.
