That is an underwhelming offer. The Penguins easily could've met it if they wanted to. I think a lot of this is just smoke and mirrors by Hextall to make it seem like we are trying to do something major when in reality, we will trade for JVR for a 3rd and be done with it.

Assuming this deadline doesnt excite anyone or change any opinions on him, fire Hextall right after it. No reason to keep him around when you need someone new to hit the ground running.

This interest was definitely true. Hextall didn’t fool all the insiders. As much as I know pens last offer was even or better then the sens but had to take money back. From someone that should know 100% the pens offer was 1st (2023), 1st (2024) with mcginn and blueger going back

Blueger was the first prospect I really followed (barring rust) when I started seriously following the penguins. Saw him play in the hockey east tourney while I was college. He turned into quite the solid player and was part of some really good 4th lines. Not denying that this season has been abysmal but I’ll miss him.

Hahaha I mean the only real thing we could hang our hat on is the Rak trade... The extending of Geno, Letang and Rust for these prices was a no brainer... The rest has been garbage.

With regards to Myers... He's a RD... 6 mill... 10 points in 55 games. They're not gonna have another 6+ mill righty dman are they? Trade Rutta?... No way theyre having 18 mill on the right side hahah... Cant be THAT dumb...

The right move was to move Dumoulin and not to touch the rest of the D. We rejiggered the deck chairs for no reason and lost a lot of cap flexibility to it.
