Mayfield just about gave the game away

1) Horvat has been a great addition. I was 100% wrong about that trade. He is awesome on this team.

2) This has been a great game. Very enjoyable to watch.

3) There’s a girl on my kids/wife’s soccer team who is absolutely amazing. If she’s on the USA team one day, I wouldn’t be surprised. Saying that, a lot of times the other girls “watch” her play and just expect things. That’s what I’ve noticed. They kinda depend on her. When she’s not there, it’s kinda crazy how much better the other girls are, the more they trust each other. I’m not gonna say that this Barzal situation is the same, because not having him sucks, but they are a different team without him.

Foligno is a scumbag. I don’t mind physical, he’s dirty at times.

This is a great point, especially with Buffalo losing. I’m curious to see how we play 3-on-3 without 13.

And, I cannot stress how much 14 is involved in everything. Great player. Can see why he was a captain.

Scoring goals ain't our thang, whether there happen to be other players on the ice or not

Fun game to watch for a 1-1 tilt, though. Tough and physical game but the Isles endured it and looked like the better team late in the third.

I know Holmstrom is considered really good at shootouts. He made the right move but lost the handle. Still, Nelson not going at all is almost as confusing as sitting Durandeau so Ross could get THREE MINUTES on the ice tonight
