Jefferies is a strong skater. No idea on Maggio

Seems Jesse has been rumored to be traded for years.

Anyone think that Lou could get a dman to replace Aho? They need a steady guy in that position. Ideally, you'd like a skating dman that can carry the puck out of the zone like Leddy and Toews used to do.

Looks like Johnston in for Durandeau on fourth line.

That's pretty much Aho, minus the offensive production.

Gostisbehere would be the player you'd be looking for there though

Presumably Johnston is in to deal with Reaves, which is dumb

Maybe he is not worth it, but I'm surprised the Rangers did not keep Reaves for now? The Rangers seem to be a little soft and they did give a 3rd rounder for him. JD was fired because the team was too soft.

I was under the impression that the Rags acquired Reaves to deal with Tom Wilson. I guess it worked for a while, because I don't recall Wilson annihilating any Rangers after Reaves' arrival. Not sure why they got rid of him. Maybe he was no good at taking the temperature in the locker room?

Rags players stopped responding to Reeves' pregame starting lineup readings.

God I hate when we do this crap. Minnesota is 3pts out of their division lead. They're not a bad team. We need all of the speed and talent we can send out there, yet we're going to remove a guy, who's been arguably our best forechecker lately, in favor of an enforcer. This almost never seems to work out for us....

I'm good with Reaves no longer on the Rangers. I just figured he would last longer as a Ranger after all the uproar with replacing JD.

JD was canned because he didn’t agree with Dolan’s stupid letter.

You'd think they'd want the young, hungry guy that can skate circles around Reaves but instead we'll get Ross Johnston pissing all over his own face for 7 minutes

I can't imagine what it'd even be like to read about a league star saying, "Look, I'll accept a trade, but only if it's to the New York Islanders."
