Ha still can’t believe that happened. Hextall’s best move this season is going to go down as the one he had pretty much zero control over.
- Victoro311

It's almost like Armstrong was doing Hextall a solid. It seems incomprehensible that a GM would do something like that, but it makes even less sense that someone would pick up Kappy with that contract for next year.

You guys can thank me for starting Elliott in my fantasy league today...

I wanted Jeannot too, low cap hit so we can fit him and he plays nasty, but he's also not a bad player he had 24 goals last year. Not sure what going on this year.

I also have Jeannot on my fantasy team.. League counts hits and PM's... Looks like his stock is about to rise

Would Christian Fischer help our bottom lines as a throw in in any way if we manage to trade for Chychrun?
- Barnaby36

I wouldn't mind him coming to Pittsburgh. I would assume a Chychrun deal would be something like the Meier deal with a few players/prospects getting swapped.

Jeannot and Barbashev were my hopes for our 3rd line. I felt both would add some physical play and have the ability to score goals. I am just hoping Hex doesn't stand pat.

All the team needed was Heinen to be on the 3rd line.

This return for Jeannot is wild. I know we arent selling after tonight's game, but damn, if a guy like him fetches those picks, we could actually get something decent for some of our guys.

That is absolutely one of the biggest overpayments I've ever seen. Holy hell

Only 2 goals for Blueger. What a terrible contract year. Who could have seen this coming?

That trade is utterly ridiculous. So Jeannot lands 5 picks AND an NHL Dman, but Nino was had for only a future 2nd...I have to admit I now have zero clue as to trade values in this bizzarro world. Maybe we shouldn't have given Kappy away for nothing after all, could have just offered him to TB lol

Understatement of the year. It didn't rise, it went nuclear.

The only two people in the world that think Jeannot is worth that price are the GM that traded for him and Grinder.

This is what Yahoo Fantasy news told me about him last night... I had no idea he was pretty much rocking 20% shooting last season haha. No wonder his production is way down this season. That's a F ton of hits though Hahaha.. Lead the league in them last season.

Only young and still a RFA though.... Not far fetched there was a bit of a bidding war for him.. And Tampa got carried away.

It’s not really a big deal. Basically cal Foote and the 1st in 2025. By that time Tampa could have sold out and got a 1st round pick back.

Lol, even you trying to undersell the return makes it sound like a massive overpay. I think he was worth about a 3rd rounder to any other team. I would have been happy to get him but come on....

I'd have given them Zucker on a 3 way cap retention for half of that return.

I like Jeannot but I'm running away from that price lol. That's absolutely insane.

Yeah I was wanting him too but was thinking the same thing. A third rounder and prospect would have been my max pay.

Hey who knows? With prices this high maybe Hex sells off Dumo and Zucker and uses the return for a different trade.

I think the best and easiest thing for us to do is:
Mcginn-Blue-Carter
See what happens this week and evaluate what to do Friday. But apparently it's cheaper to grab a top 6 player than a bottom 6 player lol

Who is gonna be available for Fridays deadline/who is still available that we may be interested in besides Chychrun lol. Anaheim, Vancouver, and Chicago I feel may be our teams to target w/ Arizona at the end.
