Pens win and with Malkin (and Rust) being the biggest reason.. No sign of Grinder or Sammy87.... It's like fn clockwork
- MattStrat

Grinder is too busy buying Jeff Carter jerseys.

I really don't see how a 3rd line consisting of Nylander and Pruus could be worse... In fact I believe there is definitely potential for it be at least a bit better haha... That's not to mention the cap savings for adding a great player if possible... But... Carter has a NMC. He ain't going anywhere.
- MattStrat

Now that Kap got moved, they can actually field a 23 man roster. Really should give Nylander a look. And if they wanted to see Puustinen as well, I don't mind waiving Heinen at this point.

Yeah they had a good game vs a trash blues team that picked up Kap….wahoo!

Malkin has been fine for his cap but his line kinda sucks this yr.

Rust is a 3rd liner

Interesting nugget from Yohe...

Neither Burke or Hexy attended the Blues game. Burke was in TO watching the Leafs/Wild game.

If I had to guess at one player, it'd be Greenway. Maybe Toronto would be in on Dumo or Zucker for a playoff run?

How would everyone feel about some kind of Jarry for Demko deal? Sounds like there is some smoke.

That is absolutely false man. Not by raw production, old fashion stats or fancy ones. With the exception of a few games they've (as a line 16-71-17) been anywhere from good to great. Try not to focus just on Rusts production struggles, A Lot of which came on top line with Sid, anyway. There's more than one player on a line and a line is the sum of its parts. He's still part of a line that produces and gets a lot more shots and chances than opposing teams.

And what about all the great games they've played that DeSmith sunk them in? By my estimation 10-14 standings points. Also, what about some of their best statistical games this season coming against the Bruins, Bolts, Avs, Knights, Leafs one win and Jets? They've bet all those teams once except the Bruins but the Bruins game they were the better team and lost in a crapshoot 3 on 3 OT.

Yeah, for the longest time you'd only stop in when Malkin was struggling so you could say they should of traded him, or something along those lines, because you thought they should for a long time. People, not me, would respond to you with a clown gif. I mean, you've only turned up this season when sh! t has hit the fan. .

I forgot to mention this last night, but I liked the ESPN play-by-play last night. Finally nice to hear someone call a game with a little passion.

Kane (NYR probably)
Tarasenko (NYR)
Hovart (NYI)
Meier (NJ)

Some crazy talent from the west added to the Metro division. I'm sure Carolina will do something and Washington could use their futures to add talent as well for next year. Penguins better get a good plan to compete or they might as well start the rebuild early.

Diamond Sports is different from the situation impacting AT&T Pittsburgh. AT&T Pittsburgh is owned by Warner Bros. Diamond Sports is apart of Sinclair Broadcasting. Both own similar assets of regional sports networks, and both appear to be going through challenging times. However, Diamond Sports doesnt impact Pittsburgh. The situation with WB does.
- SuperHenderson13

Yes, I have found a couple articles that have cleared that up for me. Thanks.

Warner Brothers is definitely getting out of regional sports.

The change of ownership to Fenway Sports Group may be a blessing. FSG owns 80% of NESN. I certainly do not expect NESN to stop showing Bruins games. What I think may happen is FSG can purchase the rights to the Penguins, keep them separate from the Bruins, while combining various programs during the off hours.

I got bored while waiting today so I thought about the best Penguins to play for the Penguins between post-lockout. I didnt count guys like Leclair, Recchi, Ziggy, and Lemieux given their ages and it was only for a year or two. So really I guess from 2008-2023. This is the list I came up with.

Jake-Crosby-Hossa
Kunitz-Malkin-Iginla
Dupuis-Staal-Kessel
Hagelin-Bonino-Neal

Gonchar-Letang
Oprik-Schultz
Martin-Lovejoy

MAF
Murray

Only area I wasnt sure was if someone was more deserving than Bonino and our lack of depth at RHD. I was obviously a bit bias towards Stanley Cup winners.

Probably the most underrated guy on that list would be Neal. He fell apart quickly and was scapegoated for a lot of the problems in those days, but that guy could shoot a puck. Most overrated would be tough, but I think you can make a really solid argument for MAF.

I would of went with Jarry again... It's not likes he's seen a lot of action this season or is being overused. Sully started DeSmith in B2Bs this season...

Lol we all know Hex likes veterans Reaves and Zuccarello to Pit.
I do wonder who he was looking at Gaudreau, Greenway, Dumba, Gustavsson, Foligno, Eriksson Ek? I really haven't heard a lot of rumors about the wild trade wise

Should be an easy win for the pens. (frank)ing Vasy had a 45 save shutout last night.

I wouldn't lose any sleep if Heiny was waived... I will say however he's only a mill cap hit and I do think out of him, Carter and McGinn he is the most likely to produce regularly again...which isn't me saying I think it would definitely happen haha
