Sabres tried fervently to move up in that 14 draft.

The goaltending is an issue but imo it's not THE issue. Yes, an elite goalie would be awesome and would be better than any of the 3 we have and it would be incredible to have that. But we don't have that and most teams don't. The defense, and not just the bottom half, has been not great. Team defense is not great.

It's very easy to look at the goalie and say "he's the issue, get rid of him and bring in goalie x and we'll be better" but then you get goalie x and surprise, he's not all that better. Teams like Boston go and get Linus Ullmark and play defense in front of him and all of a sudden he's a Vezina candidate.

If there's a chance to upgrade in goal they should absolutely do it. But I'm not going to rip the goalies especially in games where the entire team sucks, a la Toronto, Carolina.

I believe your post is 100% correct if you have an average NHL goalie or better.

UPL and Comrie save % are terrible. Most NHL teams backups put up better stats than our goalies.

Both goalies are bad. Really bad. UPL consistently gives up some very soft goals that are 100% on him and not on the team in front of him.

It happens every single game for upl. The 2nd goal yesterday was horrible rebound control. The 1st goal was also soft because watch the replay. He sucked at getting over in time to gave it.

One day one team is in on the trade, next day another team is in the lead.

I imagine this trade is way more difficult, probably have half the teams wanting chickrun.

The longer they wait, the more injuries pile up, the more the price goes up.

I have my doubts. His cap hit declines every day. If their internal deadline is TDL, the league played the Yotes' bluff perfectly.

I can assure you that they won't get a "huge" return if he goes to the Sabres.

And UPL is essentially a rookie. A rookie on a team with bad team defense that does not insulate him. That is not to say there are no flaws in his game, but bringing in a guy like Talbot is going to do minimal imo. A guy like Saros is going to cost an arm and a leg but that would move the needle. So it's either stand pat with what you have or give up a ton. I know what I expect from KA.

You say foolish post, why cause You think that. Pretty sure alot of people here would say that about You. Conversation, your conversation is going right after Me, Lunaion, lon, homie, 24, and a few others about Posts they make that might not agree about VIBES!! He's well worth the cost. With the game the Sabres like to play, they need a guy who can make a few more great saves. If you can find a place for Comrie, even better.
