Is Olofsson part of the Future ?
If Yes what is his Contract at 29 ?
What is Olofsson worth in a Trade ?

I think Buffalo should be very Open to moving Olofsson at the TDL. I would be targeting teams with picks at the end of the 1st Rnd. With 50% retention they may be able to sneak a late 1st and a prospect. You want to build through the Draft. Then let's do that, 5 picks in the Top 64 this year would stock the shelves and make the Sabres better in the long run more then keeping Olofsson.

are you defending UPL's play over the entire season or just yesterday's game, before we move forward on this.
- TheSabresTaco

probably about 65 percent of the posts pissing on 6k are bs

hell one guy says just stop 9 of 10
then cries when we drop a game 5-1 to canes about goalltending

our d on the bottom half of the roster is bad

samuelsson has been bad at times

our wingers are looking more to flip the script and score than paying d in our own end

our pk sucks

again if comrie was decent, 6 k would not have our best goaltending record

the coach sees these guys in practice all the time and there is a reason 6k is getting most of the starts

I mean if we're in the middle of the draft, I couldn't care what skater we pick.

I'd cheer if we used 3/4 picks on D.

*Subject to change when one is used on Nick Jensen

Hope so

if it's fun and gun

there is a spot for olofsson

im gonna say it, and i know im going to regurt it.

but maybe our goalie coach kinda sucks.

- TheSabresTaco

We need to call. Irbe and find out what it takes to get him back. He made turds look like all stars while he was here. I don’t think any of those goalies he made look good ever started again. And he did it with Like 5 goalies

He was their best goaltender in camp, though not by a lot, and also waiver-eligible. Comrie's injury forced his hand, and pretty much also forced them to carry 3 goaltenders.

I'm not discounting him, but Nolan's "system" was all about team defense. If that team tried to free-wheel it like the Sabres do now, the results would be a lot different.

If Jeannot gets 5 picks Saaros gets what 15 or 20?
- hubie

Tampa has crappy picks. Depends on who is sending them. Players mixed in. I doubt he's for sale, but if he is. Do it, and do it again.

I mean I hear you on some of the griping, but there is no information out there that UPL is performing even close to average. He had a decent stretch but we're outscoring his bad play.

Petr Mrazek, UPL and Jordan Binnington have similar Goals Saved Above Average. The next guy worse than UPL in Goals Saved Aboved Expected is Cal Peterson.

He's been bad. There's nothing redeeming about his play this year. He had an ok stretch to rip us out of the dungeon, and that's it.

Same goes with Comrie.

Well sure.

I mean, I'd rather get Minnesota's or Toronto's (lol) picks than Tampa's.

Saros is on a bad team and has vastly outperformed it.

Gibson is on a worse team and has not outperformed it.

Korpisalo is on an awful team and has outperformed it.

Goalies are weird.

Totally Agree, Now is the time to let OLO go, we could get a nice return for a 20 goal scorer that is 27 and still has some good years left on him.

my choice would be Saros first2 years left at 5 large. After that may Gibosn, But for some reason I really think Carter Hart can be had for the right price out of Philly. He on has 1 years left and is a RFA.

We could hav either of those goalies with UPL for 2 years then have a Levi UPL tandem..

I have said for years. OLO is one dimensional Player, Basically Ales Kotalik of this time.

He will get you 20-25 a year, with a sprinkle of assist, and he will be defensively shatastic.

I really have to give Credit to GMKA, while I want him to make a trade to get this team better, I would totally understand if he just stayed pat. We have the 2nd best offense in the league, youngest team. Scoring is not our issue.

If we are trying to trade for a goalie it has to be a goalie with 1-3 years of term left, Sarros would be a great fit but at what price, I would think it would cost you Erik Portillo and a 1st to start. I dont know if we want to start moving the first rounder's.

Also, GMKA, really good pick up on Jost... I would gladly give him a 4 year 12 million contract. he will replace Girgs...

here's to hoping we can get our hands on a name brand goalie at a reasonable price tag... Do it Darcy er.................GMKA
