Carter Hutton - who I think we'd all agree was pretty garbage overall - played 50 games for the Sabres in 18-19 and finished with a .908

We'd kill for that right now.

His goals saved above expected was still -13.5 that year

NHL average save percentage continues to fall from its historical height in '14 (.915) to. 905 this year which is the lowest since 2006-07

Edit: apparently the average was .919 in 1955 but I don't know if I believe that (frank)ery

This forum is ridiculous.

1. Reinhart does not suck. He had some great shifts out there last night. I'm pleased with the way the Sabres handled him.

2. There is a more than a fair amount of distance between simply advocating for a trade because this team has both glaring deficiencies and a deep prospect pipeline, and "TM'ing" our future.

3. The bickering and whining from boomer-age grown-arse men is embarrassing. Not to mention the C-grade juvenile puns. If you were smarter you'd be aware of how you sound. Be smarter. You're welcome.

4. I was vacillating between Meier and Chychrun. I'm now on the chicken-man train. He would fit perfectly on this team.

Freaking airports! Can’t even sustain a hockey player any more. There was a time in this country where Tom Hanks could live in an airport. Now, Oli died in one waiting for someone, anyone to pick him up.

Losing Tuch would make it absolutely inexcusable for them not to go out and get a forward.

It’s already inexcusable

The Oshie hit yesterday on Lindgren is something Girgensons needs to bring the rest of this year. Someone has to be a scumbag on our team, and he's the only guy capable IMO. Those hits win playoff series.

There's no two ways about it: it's time to put on your big boy GM pants. If Alex Tuch is out for more than two weeks talent needs to come in and replace him. Punting on a season when this team is in a playoff spot is a cheap copout. The cup runneth over with tiny forward prospects, draft picks, and money. The only ingredient missing to bringing in new talent is the willpower to do so. 6 days until the deadline.

I can see the whole "vibes" position before this injury, it was an easy and excusable excuse for not improving the roster here and now. After tuchs injury, there is no excuse for not bringing someone in. For the now, for the future, for the now and the future, it doesn't matter. If nothing is done adams damn well deserves to be on the hot seat from the fans and should be from ownership too. The "plan" is great and all but plans always change. As our glorious woke and equitable leader so eloquently and regularly states it "c'mon man!" Do something!

Girgensons should be looking to administer a hit that injures a player?

Yes, every game. Whether or not it injures someone is incidental, but he needs to bury guys who leave themselves vulnerable every single time.
