I don’t think it’s people don’t like Girgs. There are things they don’t like about him, being that for a first rounder he’s rather underwhelming. His contract was a bigger deal when Buf was against the cap. Now I could care less if they paid him 5M as it’s not a hinderance. I appreciate him giving his all, and recognize that that’s what he’s doing. It’s his all just hasn’t been good enough.

If their ceiling is a fourth line winger, trade them yesterday. Can keep cycling those guys in and out.

As for The Who falls into category thing, it’s almost all players outside of Eichel and ROR while here (Kane also perhaps?) although for he who not be named being billed as a cerebral player with physical limitations, that’s more or less what you get isn’t it? And the reverse with Risto. Come to think of it, if you could meld them two they prolly would be a force. Either way, would much rather talk about current players and my hopes would be that Girgs isn’t one of them for his next contract. Nothing against him, just think the whole “he’s done his time” thing shouldn’t keep him here. He’s developed leaders in Tuch, Dahlin, and SSTT. He’s put in all he can, let’s get the better actual players going forward
