I'll raise you as a Ducks fan.. at least you have an actual NHL coach...

Yes, but we lack an actual NHL GM.

When we trade our top 15 pick for Risto, that'll be rock bottom
- SuperHenderson13

Trade him a 1st for him, see that he sucks, and sign him to a 5-year extension.

Trade a second to get rid of Gostisbehere, then trade a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th to get Gosisbehere light and sign him to a higher AAV.

Use these 2 newly-signed players to block Johnny Gaudreau from signing with you when YOU KNEW 6 MONTHS AGO HE WANTED TO DO IT.

Sign Nick Desaluries to a 4-year contract.

All of this after trading for Kevin Hayes' right so you can negotiate against yourself and overpay him for long term.

Yeah, you could go a lot lower. Chuck Fletcher literally makes me sad. Not angry, just sad. THAT is rock bottom, when there's not even anger left.

hahaha

I think a few teams would like to have Hayes by, or on, the TDL.

Well he has a full NMC, so unless he's going to Boston, he probably won't.
Also, the Flyers would have to retain 50% (~$3.6M) for the remaining 3 years. Three years of $3.5M of dead cap space.

But in a vacuum, yeah, he could be a good TDL pickup.

Coach Sullivan on Kapanen: "When a team doesn't live up to expectations, change is inevitable - that's part of it. Kappy is a really talented player. To a certain extent, it's on all of us because we didn't find a way to maximize his potential."

No man...when a player is good and solid he doesn't need the whole team, coach and organization to lift him up ffs

Carter should be waived too he just doesn't have the balls to do it to his vet player, his boy he wanted from LA.

Carter has been worse than Kap.

Im just wondering if there's going to be enough space for Rutta to return and perhaps someone like Nylander get called up from this move.

This is what we should have done with Jack Johnson instead of buying him out.

If he passes through waivers, they can assign him to the NHL for a savings of $1.025M I believe.

Yeah full NMC, can't waive or trade without him giving the ok.

You could scratch him every game and that could make him go somewhere

hahaha not very much...but I did think it was around a mill. So...capfriendly says the Pens currently have $18400.00 in cap space hahaha no, I didn't miss a zero. So if he doesn't get claimed (he isn't) then they have 1.043 in cap space...that's not enough for Rutta to be activated...or is it? I always get this poop wrong.

They could also send down others I guess like Friedman...but he's a 750k hit...so its still not enough for Rutta's 2.75 mill
