I wouldn't bank on it. I think the Devils are going to flame out fast in the first round, unless maybe they somehow get hot and win the division (not going to happen) and get a wildcard team.

I think a lot of Ranger fans think last seasons playoff run demonstrated they were true contenders. I believe drury agrees. They played ECHL to AHL level goaltenders in every round minus the ECF where they played Tampa without Point in the lineup and lasted six games. If there were ever a “star in line” playoffs for a team that everything broke right for them as far as advantageous circumstance it would be their playoff run last season. I don’t think they are a bad team by any means but I don’t think they are anywhere near as good as they think.

No I don't necessarily think they're going to cruise through the East by any means, but I do think the Devils are going to be a paper tiger in the playoffs. Metro Leafs.

It’s a good possibility just because of their lack of playoff experience. I’m sure their game will be slowed down in the playoffs a bit but I will say they are one of the fastest teams I’ve maybe seen ever so who knows.

They're definitely fast, I just don't think they have the goaltending and toughness to make a deep playoff run. Plus they're young and inexperienced.

Wife is away at SUSA soccer tournament in CI wi my girls this weekend. I got the boy and he’s doing a sleepover one night. Should be an epic week for me. 😝

Mine is an ‘11. They got one coming up first weekend in March and then one in PA end of May. Two seasons and the LI Cup thing too, in between. And, she had 2 in January. It’s never ending. Between that one and the other one and the competitive dancing, it’s (frank)in bananas.

UPDATE: Rangers Vitali Kravtsov and Jake Leschyshyn will not be available to play tonight due to roster management reasons.

Not exactly accurate;

The Capitals received forward Craig Smith, a first-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, a third-round selection in the 2024 NHL Draft and a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.

Our real competition is going to come from Buffalo(beating Tampa 4-2) and Detroit (beating Rags 2-1). All those games in hand and both teams playing really well.
