Trading for a defenseman isn't really speeding it up imo - it's something they're going to have to do, so why not do it now?

Same thing with the goalie situation. Is it feasible to sit here for 2-3 years and wait for Levi or hope UPL improves?

Ok,, know go and pull the goals scored for games against a Playoff team. When was the last game they scored more than 2 or 3 goals. Seattle maybe 1 other since the new year.

oh give me a break. Do you really expect to be in the playoffs with a 41 year old goalie and a rookie who's numbers suck A$$.

We have beat 9 of 10 top teams in the western conference, we have beat Caps, Bos, Pitts in the east all while having the youngest team in the NHL and Poopity goalies.

WE ARE FINE.... We have the 4th highest offense in the NHL with games in hand.

what is killing us is not scoring.. it is Goalies and defense..

Everyone knows that's not Reasonable, but again what goalie is out there that has good numbers and 2 years or so term left? I really see one, Carter Hart and that is going to cost you but I still think you can get him out of Philly.. maybe it cost you a first and a prospect and roster palyer but I would do it.

Then you have a young starting NHL goalie for 2 years then you can transition Levi to the starters role and trade Hart at the end of 24-25 season hopefully for that 1st rounder that you used on him..

If ur going to overpay for a player goalie is my choice

On other hand not many teams at deadline should be looking for a goalie and can take his whole contract

you can make stats look like ANYTHING... I am just looking and all the stats to date. We have no issues scoring we have issues stopping the puck and defending against good teams.

I'm all for trading for a defenseman that can actually play defense. And a real NHL goalie.

Everyone wants a trade but I'm sure teams want savoie and Kulich. I'm not trading those dudes

I bet Adam's has dangled Johnson, Portillo, Rosen, the Russians but any trade with them were denied by other teams. You are better off staying the course then and waiting to see who is available this off-season instead of forcing a huge trade

I don't see why they have to improve. There seems to have been good UPL (can hit .908 %) and bad UPL (can hit .850%). Could be years before he improves, could be he doesn't improve.
He is wildly inconsistent from period to period, let alone game to game. Doesn't look like an NHL goalie should look night in and night out.
Comrie is a career backup who has been waived multiple times.

I think outside of getting Demko or maybe Saros there's likely noone worth trading for and might as well ride the tandem into next year. Maybe Korpse in CBJ if he goes to FA but otherwise I don't think Gibson or someone else is worth it.
