Hard to say, to them this is the " Learning Process". It's been 2 decades now of Learning.

Very much so, go back and look at Armstrong work in 2017 and 2018 when they acquired Schenn and then ROR he made the same kind of moves to acquire extra 1sts to make those trades. With the way the D landscape looks at the TDL it might be cheaper asset wise to go and get Timo and wait till the offseason for Defense.

Agreed with tackling defense in the offseason.

Looks to be more interesting UFA options on defense.

So we don’t want to trade assets to acquire good players but are willing to overspend on mediocre UFAs?

UFA season is never a season I want to be a part of.

Just say no to UFAs

Well how long did it take to get to this point as the youngest team ? Just because we are kinda exciting to watch now doesn't wash away 15yrs of Sh!t buildup.

The worst one was when I said, "UPL needs to continue to improve to be an NHL starter." That sent at least 7 people into full pannies in a bunch mode. My position hasn't changed for two years: the lack of a starting goalie kills this team. Further, everyone on this board has identified defense as a glaring hole this year as well. What is keeping a top 5 GM from figuring these rather obvious points out?

Time's a ticking on any chance to improve this season. Tick tock but not on the Adams clock.

Don't think we said that, but the prices out there for some of these Dman are outrageous. Prices could come down, are they worth the amount it might take to get them.

What I see is a team with terrific offensive tools but no idea how to play team defense.
Some of it will be learned, some coached but when it happens you will be a contender.
Until then you are not close.

A Stefon Diggs trade would come with a major cap charge for the Bills

Three years ago, receiver Stefon Diggs tweeted his way out of Minnesota. After three years in Buffalo, capped by a playoff loss featuring frustrations and gesticulations that could be interpreted as a desire for yet another fresh start, speculation has emerged again that Diggs could again be on the move.

Whether it’s his brother, Trevon, posting a photoshopped image of Stefon in a Cowboys uniform or cryptic tweets from Stefon himself, some are wondering what will happen next.

Although nothing can be ruled out, there’s one major complication that didn’t apply when the Vikings traded Diggs in 2020. Given the contract that Diggs received last year, a trade before June 1 would trigger a cap charge for the Bills of $34.775 million.

The other problem is that the Bills don’t really have any other high-end receivers. They could try to sign one or trade for one, or they could try to get one on the draft.

But they have one. It makes far more sense to make him happy than to move on after only 50 regular-season games.

Then again, any team that acquires a player who became sufficiently unhappy to seek a trade could become that unhappy again. That could be what the Bills are dealing with, and it could be that the two sides have no choice but to try to make it work.

They should be able to make it work. Stefon is a good-hearted person who desperately wants to win. And he may be wondering whether others in the organization want to win as badly as he does.

Liv golfers now have access to two of the four majors: the Open Championship and the Masters. Certainly, they won't be allowed to play in the PGA championship, but the U.S. Open won't be far behind the other two majors.
- lacaprup

The PGA of America, who hosts the tournament, and the PGA Tour are separate entities. There's been no indication one way or the other whether they will be allowed to play. Past Major champions are able to get in, whether or not they still hold their tour card, so there would have to be a pretty massive shift in the rules to make that happen. If the LIV players play enough other Tour (i.e. the Asian Tour) events to maintain the required world rankings to get in, there's not much any of the governing bodies can do.

Team has zero grit and no heart. I feel sorry for the Sabres fans at the game yesterday. They had to deal with the Leafs fans and once again their team doesn't show up for a home game

The Leaf fans in my section were really nice fwiw. It helps there were two little kids right in front of us. There was a really good age distribution in the crowd last night. There have been times it's all 20 - 40 year old drunk guys. A lot of families from kids to grandparents in the arena yesterday.

Give himself more of a excuse not to do anything, if they fall on there faces he can say we weren't ready to make those deals. If we can stay in the picture Adams will say we made calls to every team, but the prices to acquire were just to much.

I think it can go 2 ways

We lose to Tampa and the panthers. Then beat the caps and jackets. I feel like that is fine.

Keeps us in it.

We lose them all or only win 1. Sell off olofsson and ride out the rest of the season.
