That leaves 3 spots open up for grabs.

Entertaining the theory that Kulich and or Savoie makes it that leaves 1 spots open.

Girgs and Okposo coming off the books along with Anderson and Vinny

Its very unlikely Kulich or Savioe will see the NHL.

I could also see Okposo and Girgs getting resigned

Thats also if we don't add anyone at the deadline for prospect/picks.

Media has been talking about him being traded since last deadline but Arizona just didn't like the offers so they held onto him until the summer. Again didn't like the draft deals so held onto him again for this deadline.

I mean you can't see the glut of forwards on the roster and the gaping hole on the defensive side? Not that it should determine if prospects should be in the NHL.

Johnson with 4 years of NCAA experience is much more NHL ready than Savoie and Kulich and is much more physically developed than the other two. Kulich is 18 and Johnson is almost 22.

I am opposed to rushing prospects and destroying their development like they have done in the passed.

I understand that Adams and Granato aren't going to put Kulich and Savoie on the roster until they are ready.

If you watch and understand our prospects than you would know who is NHL ready and who is not NHL ready. Your statement sounds like you don't see whats going on.

I also think Johnson will use his position as leverage to be put on the NHL roster much like how Chad Ruhwedel did.

First off no one gets a call up because the roster is full.

I assumed you meant because of an injury.

You need to waive someone to call up Kulich otherwise.

As it is Buffalo is juggling the roster.

Johnson can say he wont sign unless he is on the roster this year.

Ruhwedel did the same thing.

I also think Johnson is already better than Bryson and Clague.


You asked me why its ok for Johnson to be on the roster but not Savioe or Kulich.

Is Kulich better than Olofsson, Jost, Mitts, Girgensons or Okposo? No.

I will give you this. If we are eliminated from the playoffs could we see Kulich get a game? Maybe under the right circumstances where we dont have do waive anyone.
