I’d be willing to try Carter in the Billy G role, move Rakell to Malkins line. Ideally you then have Poe as your 3rd line center with arch and Rust. But with Poe out that’s leaves Blueger. I’m over Blueger.

It’s really hard to be a fan of Guentzel.

Painful. Two slop ass goals and well played game becomes a lose. Im ready to embrace being sellers this deadline if we lose. Im ready for a Jarry for Gibson trade package. Guentzel for some serious prospect and roster player. New gm for the offseason.

Come on man. It was Carters fault.

I think Jarry is playing when he is probably still really hurt, so Ill chalk this loss up AGAIN to poor goaltending. Average goaltending gets you a win tonight.

The Penguins are a team that have no depth at forward or defense. They are a two line team. The top 6 is really impressive and deserves a lot better. The 3rd line is one of the worst lines in hockey. They literally do nothing.

The defense was "upgraded" this offseason where we got more expensive and older and yet we are playing worse than last year.

For all intents and purposes, FSG is asleep at the wheel. That was one of my worries when they bought us. When was the last time one of them saw a game? Saw the construction going on around the arena to make games far less worthwhile to go to?

The isles are not a good team. We are a mess. The rebuild is officially a failure. I do not see an easy fix. Many problems, defense not good. Bottom six poor. Goaltending issues. And so forth.

It’s not so much a dog on carter but he tall. Carter is overpaid and can’t 3c effectively.

Under 2m and 3rd or 4th rw. He gets by fine.

Penguins out of the wildcard spots (though with 4 games in hand on both Florida and the Islanders).

Connor Bedard would be a nice 3C next season.
