Only way getting scorers will really help is if Carter isnt attached to them in any way. If he's on their line they're most likely getting Cratered.
- MattStrat

Yeah it just sucks Carter has to get the lowest quality teammate on the team. He’s still the likeliest source for secondary scoring in the bottom 6. Coach views him more of a work horse than a guy to put in a favorable situation. It’s almost always Carter eventually clearing the puck if they are hemmed in. Tough spot for the guy. Now Lappys back so Carter has to sweet talk him between shifts.

No, it's a fact. Jarry has missed a large amount of time this season due to injury.

Not having your top goalie, especially when your backup is subpar, will lead to more losses than you would have with your top goalie.

These are facts, not excuses.

The real fact is that it was well known that both Jarry and Desmith had huge question marks around durability and frankly the ability not to choke in the playoffs. The Pens did nothing to address it and I said before the season started that it would sink the team again. Hextall got what he paid for there.

Last year was the first year Jarry played more than 40 games in a season and he was hurt for the playoffs. He needs to be part of a tandem, like Murray was.

You guys should go for it. Varlamov and Mayfield for your first. Retain whatever salary needed. We’ll retain it all. (frank) it.

I think replacing an oft injured jarry with an oft injured Demko would be the dumbest of dumb moves, thatcher was good last year, terrible start to the season and his expected 6 week injury is still an issue 10+ weeks later, no thanks!

I think a capable back up that could be a starter would be ideal but there aren’t many of those floating around especially without a big price tag.

Pens just don’t have the assets to acquire any major pieces it’s as simple as that.

FWIW, Sully says Jarry is "real close" to returning. Skated this morning. If the Pens want to put some draft capital on the line, they can probably get a decent upgrade at forward. If they trade for a tender, it's probably a 2b. Something better than Tokarsky

Did Errey just say the Pens are tied for worst in the league for goals from defensemen?

Damn stream crapped out just as the Isles scored...can anyone explain it to me? CDS was flat on his back and assumed the puck was under him, rebooted and it's tied.

Please get a us a goalie… shots are 30-15. This shouldn’t be a one goal game.

Also, what is petts doing? Take the wraparound away. His stick was covering nothing.

Pens could be leading in shots by 1000 and CDS would give the other team hope

Could you ever imagine CDS winning a playoff series lol? That's the minimum requirement for me.
