Would love to see DeAngelo, Frost and Tippet out there to start the OT for the Flyers.

Gee with 2 defenders out there you would have they, um well, actually defended that better.

Frost so far is a non-factor in this game, close to invisible. His line has been awful in the 3rd so far, pinned into their own end for most of the period. But, as long as his metrics look good ...
- jd250

The metrics show that your "eye test" is inaccurate and off base. Also know that you think that Frost is an AHL player. The entire Flyers team spent the 3rd period pinned in their own end.

You will lose most of the games just scoring one in regulation.

I just don't get it ... the Flyers have some players that would absolutely kill it 3 on 3 and they just refuse to use them ... sad!

That is on the coach. You and MJL can agree there.

Flyers continue to be putrid 3-on-3, shootouts…poor choices on which trio to send out there certainly play a huge part in all that. That said, I just continue to f’n HATE the OT format and skills competition that sometimes follows. Only thing I hate more is Bettman’s ignorance to think fans prefer the current OT format. Just don’t understand why ties were once acceptable, and now they’re not.

A team is not going to be a very good team when they're coached to play cautious and not to lose. Instead of playing aggressive and going for the win.

Yes, for sure. Frost and Tippet with DeAngelo would kill most teams with all that open ice. Its a no-brainer. That is a scenario where Frost will help you the most given the type of game he plays.

In this case I agree, in OT there is nothing to lose.

They played pathetically in the 3rd period and just sat there and let Nashville throw pucks at the net.

The eye test of the eye test results show lazy eye and poor optics.

That's two goals against in two games where Ristolainen's fundamental defensive play in terms of stick position and body position have been awful leading to goals against. Team's most improved player.

Also the second time in this game that Sanheim has let a guy behind him to the net.

- MJL

This is just embarrassing to read. This is literal fantasy.

2-1 shootout victory against the oilers who have the best player in the world. 2-1 OT loss this afternoon. Looks like the defense is doing pretty well but to place blame on one player for a goal allowed when it was clearly his partner who made the mistake that led to the odd man rush, you’re just making things up at this point.

He made 3-4 really good plays in tight spaces today. One example is below. There were others.

Once the 25-48-74 line was put back together -- and this is per Torts -- they created some chances. Frost had one point blank that was set up by JVR.

He had a rough game on faceoffs. Otherwise was fine in a tight-checking game.

Fletcher really hit it out of the park this year with his obvious well-laid plans. A true genius.

I noticed the plays he made also. I don't think any skater was great today but Frost was one of the team's better players in the game.
