Nah. Keep looking back on Genos game by game stats and it’s a continuous trend. Worst part is his double O games correlate pretty directly to Losses. Your number 2 center is suppose to be able to compete with the best. He doesn’t score a lot when the team needs him too. A glaring example would be 0 shots on goal in a game 7 as recently as last year. - Grinder47
Youre kind of making up poop to support a bad take. He has 2 game winners this season and I know he's been involved in a lot of the comebacks and tying games this season, as I've watched most games, not the boxscores. Speaking of which the Pens are one of the best come from behind to win teams this season so far. .oh and how about when he scored the game winner in OT of game one of that series you're calling him out on? Hahah |

How do I make up blatantly not scoring against better competition? And It’s not like he’s useless. He’s old and slow and playing with 2 glorified 3rd liners. |

So you are telling us that when one of your best offensive players doesn’t score in a game, the team is more likely to lose? With this type insight I’m shocked you that you aren’t an analyst for the NHL network. |

Malkins last 15 games. Zero points against Boston, New Jersey, Winnipeg, Vegas, Carolina,Washington. Compiled pts against Vancouver, Anaheim twice, San Jose, Arizona, Ottawa. Honorable mentions for his game against Florida and Colorado which were respectable. - Grinder47
Why stop at 15? If you go back to 25, he has points in 2 games against Buffalo, Dallas, Florida, Carolina, NYR… all part of a 9 game point streak. |

Because if you look further back it doesn’t support his terrible narrative. I mean if you look back Malkin is averaging a point a game against the best team in the NHL. |

This is literally why your depth on the 3rd and 4th line is so important. And why that’s what is holding this team back and not the top 6. Your top players literally can’t score every single game. This is the nhl. Not a beer league. |

Havent/Cant be around here to much anymore but will say... Pens for sure have interest in Domi and Mccabe and had talks about a package deal before the all star break. Sam Bennett 100% on the radar as well. Couple others scouted in the past month... Barbashev, Acciari, Greiss, Mikkola, Hoglander, Myers, Demko, Joshua, Meier and Reimer - pens4life-66
Thanks for the info! Meier, Bennett, and hoglander are players I definitely would love on this team who are younger and could be with us now and be part of our next generation. McCabe only makes sense if they are gonna trade someone like Ty Smith in a Meier deal. |

I'm guessing you got a position in scouting field. You said earlier you were pursuing something along those lines.
These are mostly names that have popped up on here recently. So much for the Hextall isn't doing anything narrative. That leaves he isn't doing enough, or the Pens just don't have the pieces to make things happen. - Thunderbolt
Ya I am. First full year.
The pens Id say are easily one of the most active teams trying to get things done over the last month. I’d guess in order of the pens wants it’s LD, C, Winger, G. McCabe, Bennett, Domi seem to be there targets.
They are definitely interested in Demko which is kinda surprising to me and he’s gonna be back any day now. Takes 2 teams to make a trade happen and lots of teams are wanting to wait it out. I don’t know the details of the trade but sounded like the pens made quite a strong offer for McCabe and Domi package before the break. |

You have to go really far back to make him a relevant offensive player in the league. |

Good info. Thanks! Everybody in Pittsburgh is used to GMJR blathering about making trades. Hextall is the polar opposite.

The first goal against was a beauty tip... That 2nd one was leaky... CDS should have had that sealed.
Pens look pretty good. Not much of that pre break slop to be seen the past 4 periods. |

Neither are it. Desmith is so volatile. We need a real backup or a starter who doesn’t get injured just putting his pads on. |

And I'm opting for the entertainment of the insides of my eyelids lol. Too old to stubbornly watch lost causes at midnight.

How the (frank) did Carter let in 6 goals? Always nice to see no one stick up for Sid too. Really makes you feel good about this team. |
