Good to see the PP back to where they should just decline the penalty.

I believe a McDavid moment of brillance is imminent.

Instead of tickling McDavid’s plums, we can drop those and start tickling Hart’s.

In a deep draft, two 1sts are better than one.

Rangers wanted the winger to make another push as they did last year.

They gave up a first round pick to do so. I think this idea of holding onto picks for the potential of something is thinking too far ahead and fans seem to be always building for the "perfect" moment/dynasty. Whereas how about the rangers just potentially win one cup and then worry about the dynasty later?

Sure was. After all these years the goaltending looks very positive with Hart and Ersson. They are sorely lacking at center. Somehow they need to move some contracts out and get help there.

I'm not the average fan. I think NHL teams waste draft picks far too often on deals that don't really help them. The best way to win the Cup is to build your team and position them to have as wide and as long of an open window as you can. If you can add a true difference maker, then go ahead. Is Tarasenko at this point, that player? I have my doubts. The Rangers made a bad trade last year and traded a really good player in Buchnevich so they could bring in Goodrow, Blais and Reaves. Thinking they needed some toughness. Now they're trading Blais, who they got in the Buchnevich deal and a first round pick to add more scoring. They pulled a "Fletcher". If they win the Cup, doesn't matter. If they don't, then it does. What are the odds?

What are the odds CF sells at the trade deadline? He will do something stupid thinking they can make a playoff run. Maybe they can make the playoffs but so what they don’t have the horses to race the race.

I think he sells. No surprise selling- JVR, Braun, and Seeler are the candidates. It will be underwhelming. I expect the chances of doing something stupid during the summer to greatly increase. Hayes, Risto, and DeAngelo as examples. Trade deadline with G and Braun last season was not bad.

I want them to be competitive but I'm afraid Chuckles and the Comcast clowns will think they can make a playoff run. I'm sure they smell the playoff ticket money as we type. It will be interesting (and possibly scary) to see what Chuckles does.

Torts! That is a Torts coached team! The Oil lead the league in penalties drawn and the Flyers gave up no power plays. I was just waiting for the Oil to get a PP and score the winning goal, but it never happened. The PP was a disgrace tonight and it's time to start declining penalties, but that's just a lack of talent. Frost had his best game as a Flyer tonight and it has nothing to do with the shootout goal. If this team had Coots, Atkinson and Ellis they would be in a playoff spot. That being said, sell... sell...sell! Thanks!

Wait...Rangers went to ECF last year. That's pretty successful for coming out of a rebuild. I see why they want to strike while the iron is hot for their team.

You may not be the average fan but that doesn't preclude teams doing what they think is best in their own odds.

I'm aware of what the Rangers did last year. I don't see how that changes anything to my premise. The average fan comment wasn't about precluding teams from doing something.
