yes sell now, all of it. We need a 2-6 run here, sell and then stay competitive losing 1 goal games where Hart is awesome, and the remaining core and kids play well enough to keep their confidence going.

Imagine if you're the Hawks and get nothing for Kane because he's hurt. Somehow, though, they'll still wind up with Bedard. |

In all seriousness this is a great trade for the rangers. Get a proven goal scorer for a playoff run. Their window is now, they have the goalie, the D, the forwards, this is when you go for it. Stop thinking like Hexy haha. A guy that’s not gonna play for 3-4 years doesn’t mean much for them, not saying trade your first every year but if im a rangers fan im thrilled with this trade |

Gorton started the process for Rags. Now he doing the same with the Habs. And they have inside track for Bedard. |

[Whyno] Done deal: Rangers acquire Vladimir Tarasenko and Niko Mikkola from Blues for conditional 2023 first-rounder, conditional 2024 4th, Sammy Blais, and forward prospect Hunter Skinner. - Tomahawk
The Rangers pulled a "Fletcher". Made an awful trade last year, trading Buchnevich for a 2nd and Blais. Now trade Blais and a 1st rounder back to St. Louis for Tarasenko, who at this point is a lesser player than Buchnevich.

Is it? Tarasenko has 10 goals in 38 games. We'll see what kind of player they get.

I think calling it a great trade is extremely premature. I personally think when looking at the big picture, it was awful asset management. Rangers have a very good team with quality youth. Keep trading away picks and you shorten that window.

Something tells me playing with Panarin will get his juices going. Either way all it cost them is a very late 1st rd pick of which they have two. No brainer |

Likely a very late 1st and they have two. A total steal no matter how it turns out. They gave up none of their prospects and still have a 1st. When you have a legit shot at cup it's the kind of move you make |

If you connect the move they made last year with Buchnevich with Blais involved in both trades. It was overall awful asset management by the Rangers.

In a deep draft, two 1sts are better than one.

He better score or he’ll have little impact. He’s a complete slug on defense. Patrick Bacon has his EV Defence at 3%.

They couldn't have kept Buchnevich because they could not have paid him. Could they have gotten more for him I am sure they tried. With the Cap and no Cap increase for yrs you cannot pay everyone 6M or more. |
