Jack Hughes is so good and so fun, but acting like McDavid for Hart would be “stubborn” is ridiculous. It’s McDavids world and we, including Jack, are just living in it.

Mcdavid has 30 (!!??!!) more points than Jack. Not even a debate. Should be unanimous.

Now lets compare linemates. If Hughes had a Draisatl on his line he would have more points. Tatar,Haula,Zetterlund arent quite on the same page as Draisatl.

I wonder what their plan is with Gritsyuk in general. Do they think they can get him out of the country to even play and will he want to sit in the AHL for a season or two before making the jump. He's been one of the players that people are starting to look at and maybe you trade him in some kind of package to get some guaranteed help right now.

They said their plan for him is to keep him in the KHL for another year or two to keep maturing, then have him jump straight into the NHL lineup when he's brought over.

Apparently Gino Reda on TSN said the Meier sweepstakes is down to NJ and NYR. Waiting for someone to post a clip on twitter.

Also, Incarcerated Bob also just retweeted a goal highlight from 2021 of Timo Meier scoring on the Devils, and retweeted Mike Rupp saying the Devils need to get Meier.

Both could mean something, both could mean absolutely nothing. But it's fun lol.

Yeah I don't see a world where Fitz actually moves the farm for Quinn. It's only Ek reporting it though, so we all know what that means lol. I would like to make an add on the backend though, but just a depth guy who gives some defensive prowess into the mix. Schenn/Maatta/Walman/ect. Megna wouldve been a nice target too. Someone like that.

Depends. They definitely need another depth D imo, because we just saw what happens when one of our top 5 goes down. We're one injury away from needing to play a Smith-Bahl/Ohkotiuk pair in the playoffs and that's disastrous.

Its been reported over the past month that the Devils are in the market for up to 4 things at the deadline. A top 6 scoring winger with team control beyond this year, a depth/6 bottom forward, a depth D, and potentially a backup goalie. That last one would obviously require Blackwood being moved out, which I don't see happening. So there's a realistic world the team makes 3 additions at the deadline if everything goes as Fitz plans. Obviously the top 6 winger is by far the biggest need and priority #1 though.

Unfortunately this is the outcome I'm expecting lol. Hope I'm wrong. It just doesn't make sense to me to go after Boeser when im fairly confident Holtz can essentially do atleast 3/4 of what Boeser does if we actually put him in the spot we'd use him, and for much cheaper. But yet, here we are, the team seems to have zero interest in using Holtz in the top 6 and on the PP.

From the guys we've been connected to i definitely prefer Tarasenko over Boeser as the backup plan, but i'd shy away from trying to re-sign him. I feel like Fitz would definitely try to extend him though, based of his talk of not wanting a rental.

I would definitely think long and hard about moving Mercer, and I would probably do it depending on the rest of the package.(theres been reports the Sharks prefer to get a young center and/or a goalie prospect in the return). There's no world I move Nemec in this deal though.

This really is the worst part of the injury lol, potentially robbing us of our first 100 point player in franchise history if he misses more than like 3-5 games.

Ruff says he expects Jack to be back on the earlier side of the week to week. So it seems like the team is just being abundantly cautious, which I understand. Still sucks though.
