Its quite a bit better then what was given for Tarasenko, that D prospect the Rangers gave has been playing in the ECHL, Blais has very little value, think he was only in their for cap or contract limit purposes.

If you’re getting a defenceman, it has to be one capable of knocking Pionk out of the top 4 (or better yet, having Pionk going back the other way).
There are no “depth” options better than what we have in house. We have a log jam on the blueline. Either clear someone out (Pionk and Stanley), or get a name so big we don’t care anymore.
Also Schenn and Edmundson are terrible. There’s a reason Vancouver doesn’t let Schenn play without Hughes, and a reason Edmundson was dumped by Carolina.
