Im sure it's been said before, but Meier, a great player, no doubt, will cause a log jam at LW. Unless he has played RW for a good portion of his career, he doesn't fill a need NYR has going into playoffs. No way Goodrow is getting traded either....and nor should he. I would also give Blais the rest of the season. Think he will only improve the last 30 games, and he will be back to his old self for round 1, which is exactly what he was brought here to do. Blais, Goodrow, and Cuylle make one hell of a 4th line.

Any trade of note will require a 1st rounder. Would have no problem if Jones, Kravs, Gauthier, Robertson, or any other Hartford guys traded. Can't trade Laf or any other young roster players for a rental

Tarasenko for 1st rouinder and Kravs or Jones
Veteren D to go w/ Schneider....3rd rounder and prospect.

Those 2 adds are all thats needed for a good SC run

I will say tho, I think this will be Goodrows last year here. Simply because of the money we need for the RFAs. If you look you’ll see that his 3+ mill may need to be freed up. To boot, a buyout they gain 200k two years in a row. Then it’s 3.6 or something but by then they may be ok with the cap boosting up some

Meier can play Rw but he just seems to far fetched because they really can’t keep him and keep the Chytils Millers etc

I understand that point, but right now he plays LW.. I see he is listed at RW on those links, but don't watch any SJ hockey to make an educated statement on how much RW he actually plays vs LW...My point is that unless he mainly plays RW, then I don't want him. Also, having too many Lefties , regardless of weather or not they can play the off wing presents problems as well.

Was gonna say, he played RW at the WJC and after his trade to Plymouth. He's made it know he's comfortable playing the RW.
