Therrien today on real Kyler and Bourne was very adamant that this was Torts letter , pretty interesting . Didn’t blame corporate and guaranteed that Fletcher would do no such thing, it was all Torts |

Something like that is not released to the public without being approved by upstairs.

For sure, but I looked at it as a strictly upstairs corporate nonsense. Odd to see Therrien so adamant that this was Torts’ thing to own |

What impact do you think management saying the 3 April home games is “on them” will have on season ticket sales next year,if any?

Hopefully Comcast will blow it up if Couturier retires. |

True, but I do believe this letter indicates the Flyers plan to sell more than JvR and Braun at the deadline. They may be going the 2016 Rangers route. |

I'm glad that they are at least competitive in most games, but they better understand that it's about collecting as many assets as they can moving forward.

They do not have a lot to trade honestly. No one is taking Hayes, Atkinson or Ellis at this deadline. Trading Provy, Hart or TK would make more sense in the offseason. I think this TDL is going to be a big nothing burger. |

Anyone else find it funny that the Flyers have the worst powerplay in the league since Fletcher revamped the roster in summer 2021? So many players and picks out the door just to have the 32nd best PP. |

I was told Provy was terrible at the point and a better PP Qb was needed, hence the Tony DeAngrlo trade. Ooopps.

Honestly? That's like 2024 first round pick, probably one of Cates/York/Farabee?/Frost/Tippett and then maybe another roster player? Maybe Risto can be the salary dump in the trade. One can dream right?

I did not get anything about that from that letter. Good luck going with the Rangers route. All they need is a future Norris trophy defenseman to only want to play with the Flyers and an elite player in his late 20's to want to only play with the Flyers.
Outside of an unlikely hockey trade, there is very little that Fletcher will be able to do at this upcoming trade deadline. |

There is a reason it was announced that the Flyers are refunding STHs for the April games. That is because the Flyers know there will be nothing to watch in those games, meaning they expect to lose most of them. Why is that? Because the Flyers will sell hard at the deadline, bring up more kids and try to tank as much as possible to get a top 5 pick. I expect JVR, Hayes and DeAngelo all moved at the deadline, and maybe even Provorov. I sincerely hope TK stays. |

Well, sure, there is a not an Adam Fox or Panarin banging on the Flyers door, but what I meant is I believe the Flyers will be hard sellers at the deadline and will try to tank the rest of the way. That is the only reason I can think of that Torts would send out this letter at this time as well as the Flyers refunding STHs for April games. |

The Flyers can't predict or know what they're going to be able to do. You can sell all you want. Need buyers. I think you're going to be disappointed at what happens at the deadline and will likely criticize Fletcher for not meeting unreasonable expectations.

It doesn't seem as though you are aware of what the Flyers are doing. They are only refunding the cost of three April games for STH if they renew their tickets for the 23/24 season. It's essentially a sale on a handful of games in order to sell tickets for the following season. It has squat to do with what they plan to do at the deadline. It's not even a refund. They will direct the money towards tickets for next season.
The Flyers are giving STH holders 3 free games if they renew their tickets and you think that shows what they're going to do at the trade deadline. It has nothing to do with the trade deadline. It's about the Flyers ticket sales and attendance dwindling down.
So it's the Rangers rebuild minus a Fox and Panarin. |

I believe the point is that they gave up multiple draft picks to trade for the player, for what? Not to blame Angelo. |

😆 But in reality it was a clerk from the Cohen & Goldberg law firm who wrote it. |

So the assets used to acquire the player and the cap space used was worthwhile? Also, the even strength play by DeAngelo is worth the 15 PP points? Interesting theory. |
