also my point was more about the impact it has one the team, changes the culture...a shock to the team, that management saw a problem and needed to fix it etc etc which pushes them over the hump

I never said that it did. But it makes the conversation about whether they want to be traded or not real. I am very dubious about statements like they don’t know if they want to be traded or not unless someone can show it’s coming from the players.

Now, for the first time, they’re going to be in a position where they have to indicate if and where they want to be traded. poop’s getting real and we’re moving from pure speculation to fact based realities.
