I agree, top 6 LW would be my priority. Meier would be close to the top of the list, but id also consider some others like Kane, Tarasenko, Larkin, Duclair, Bertuzzi, and Jenner. - Archaic
Duclair would be risky with his recent injury
Bertuzzi can stay in Detroit, dude can't stay healthy
Larking would be a dream to have but a good expensive one
Kane would require a 3rd team to suck up some of that contract and the Leafs don't have the require picks to do that
Tarasenko is an intriguing prospect if he doesn't cost to much to acquire
Jenner would be the man but at a 1st ++ might just be too rich for the Leafs to pay for.
What has the marvelous Dubas and Pridham has up their sleeves for this TD, we'll see . |

i thought the same when I first saw his name out there. but looking at his stat and underlying numbers he is still very good and stands out on a very bad team. he scores at a 50 point pace, he would fit in fine |

Why dont the Leafs have the picks to Acquire Kane? Typically its not a high pick for some retainment of salary at the deadline. With that being said, I think its a long shot.
Bertuzzi is a bit of an idiot, so I get your reluctance. |

Konecny - He is a right winger
Henrique - Not an upgrade
Domi - Not an upgrade really
Tarasenko - Yes
Kane - Yes
Toews - Maybe, better C then winger
Meier - Best option
Jenner - Yes, but Injured a lot, and probably too expensive
Anderson - No thanks
Larkin Yes
Tarasenko - is there two Tarasenkos?
ROR - Meh, having an awful year, wouldnt pay much
Motte - need a top 6, not bottom 6
Bertuzzi Yes, but injured a lot, and an idiot
JVR - Hell no
Lots of options

because it gives you depth and options and pushes a lesser player down, or back down. injuries happen, playoffs is a grind, having lots of NHL depth is good.
that off the top of my head

The Leafs need a top 6 LW, not really another bottom 6 which is what Henrique currently is. The Leafs need someone who will provide an impact IMO this year. |

Seattle adding a LHD (Megna) is interesting
Could mean Soucy is in play
Also……Jeannot would be a good buy low option |

OK, I'll admit I clicked and read the article.
What a giant waste of time.
Could the Leafs use Chychrun? Obviously.
He then goes on to state that the price would be big. Yeah, we already know that.
The article adds absolutely nothing. |

A question about bringing in a guy like Konecny or a C to play top six. I know Willie has played a bit on the left. Has it been more than a few games? How was he? If not great, maybe cause it was he was just Willie and not WILLIE. Anyway, just curious since it would obviously open up more options. (I get that paying a lot and forcing someone to play away from their normal position is not optimal.) |

Looking at Capfriendly, they may have the picks usually 3 or 4 the to retain some $$ and or a prospect.
I think it's too expensive to do, but doable if they want.
