I read this and from the start was calling bullpoop.

It doesn't work the way Kane and his agent and KD are described to be handling it.

Teams have contacted his agent if he would come to them in a trade!

Does that sound like nothing is happening?

At some point each team that has made an inquiry to agent Brisson is gonna want a yes / No / maybe but I don't think they are gonna sit on their hands near the deadline waiting for it.

If a team wants to jump into the veteran trade pool, they will want an answer sooner than "the deadline" because they will look at other options.

Sounds to me like the Kane Camp posturing for a better deal on an extension beyond this year from somebody.

Its funny reading some of the other boards, and what fans of said teams think of the power they have.

They all seem to think if they keep typing posts over and over again about Kane needing surgery and hip replacement, it will lower the value they have to give up for him.

By reading their posts, you would think you only see Kane strolling around the United Center in a walker

I know the old line is if it's too loud you're too old. And I'm getting old. And if it was the crowd that was the loudest thing there I'm fine with that. I basically grew up in the old barn and spent 20+ years most every game in the UC. But the artificial sounds like the music and the a'holes with the microphones when the game is not going have become intolerable. I was there in November and if I ever get dragged to that place again I'm bringing the ear plugs I use for NASCAR. I hope Rota comments after he attends the game in March.

Oh I will.

Haven't been to a live game in several years since I'm a cheap Pollack and I'd rather sit on my couch and stream the games.

Should be fun. Going with an old high school buddy that I attended games with in the past. At least this time we won't be parking on broken glass and rubble like at the old stadium.

I don't really mind if Kane or Toews don't get traded.

It would be kind of irritating if no one got traded. Meaning 1 of Kane, Toews, Murphy, McCabe, Domi should probably be moved.

As well as one grindy player or a depth defensemen in Rockford.

I'd like to see them pick up two additional picks in the middle round this year. But with 12 picks in the first three rounds the next two years I think they are going to have a fair amount of darts to throw even if they don't pick up anything additional.

Yep.

If Kane makes them wait right until the wire teams are going to go looking elsewhere. Nobody wants to wait until the day of only to find out they're out of it and nobody else is left.

On the flip side, maybe a team is not willing to make a move, but gets an injury March 1, 2 or 3rd that forces them to have to make a move. Then Kane may be thee only player left to pursue.

It really doesn't matter who gets traded for what picks, I am certain that Arizona will be picking before Chicago anyway, so Bettman will always make sure a better prospect will be going there instead.

1st overall all, or every round?

Actually i think i saw that in the bylaws that prior to every Blackhawk pick in 2023 Arizona gets the pick in front of them, if it's the Blackhawks own pick and the ones they traded for.
