Thank you. And thank you for admitting you got yourself all frothed up because of you own actions.

yep, people are rushing to hate Trochek already too, gotta give him a playoff run and not just October-February of year 1 of his contract
- jimbro83

Maybe I'm nuts, but I don't hate Trochek. Think hes a good third line center and if he didn't hit all those god damn posts and crossbars he would have really good stats.

That's my problem. Not really with him. It's just the rangers overpaid for a 3rd line center. When other options could have been had for cheaper. That's not his fault. Get your money man.

You’re 100% right, I still haven’t gotten over how terrible of a trade that was. Said it from the moment it happened. I think I’ll be happy/more over it when Blais is finally gone. And I’m not saying Buch would still be here, but we could’ve gotten more for him than what we did, Drury felt he had to make a move and he blundered terribly on that one.
- nyrangers9479

That fair. He didn’t get enough for him. It is what it is lol. It’s painful to rehash the damn thing over and over but we do it anyway

If and when the cap goes up by more than $1m season over season his contract will be on the higher end of what is acceptable for a 3C. He gets the extra playing time on PP1 (maybe don't have him there but whatever) and playing the PK. right now though the contract is a little too spicy for me for a 3C. But yea, the non EV playing time helps make it easier to accept.

What do you think about giving the 2nd unit a chance on the PP first? 1st unit has been a bit stale and the 2nd unit would only be out there for maybe a minute. The first unit is out there minimum of 1:30

I’d love to see Fox with that unit. The kid line and Paranin or Zib

my opinion on this is that its not a real chance as the first unit unless Adam Fox is the point man

you give that until a chance with Fox as their QB? hell yes

if it's with Trouba, then its waste of time

The PP1 is out there for so long because they are really good at keeping the PK pinned in their own zone. It's just that they have become way too predictable and the chances have dried up. I think the way to go is to tweak it by swapping out one or two guys, keeping Fox, Bread, Mika no matter what.

Yup. I think with knowing they weren't keeping Strome they panicked a little, but I don't remember if there was a better center option at the time.

The unit has been more looking for the perfect play this year. That seems to the be the issue in a nutshell all year

Yeah I agree. Kind of what TJ mentioned, maybe a few changes. Fox, Bread, Mika, Chytil, Kakko

And the fact that the play is force the pass to Mika for a one timer from Ovi's office no matter what with a fallback option of saucering it to Kreider in front for a deflection.

well since they aren't doing this anytime soon, I hope Kreider gets going, hopefully the break let him further heal that injury thats been hampering him.

He needs to get back to that magician deflecting shots he was last year
