Well you’re not going to trade Kap and Dumo to anyone for a good 3c. Rust hasnt been great but he has trade value if he would accept a trade.

Rust and Zucker need to be on the third line.

The most frustrating thing about the forward group is there’s about 25 line combinations that could work but we have a cookie cutter coach and it’s already past the half season mark barely in a playoff spot.

I didnt mean the Flyers tanked, I meant if the Penguins tanked for Bedard and then selected the wrong guy. Either way, a swing and a miss for me.

It would be risky since they are pretty similar. Can work behind a strong line, could get exposed behind a weak one would be my guess. Wouldn't hurt to try.

I guess I'd try this:
POJ-Letang
Pettersson-Petry
Dumoulin -Smith

Maybe flipping POJ and Pettersson has better results with more time though. But if I were trying to go deep I'd add someone.

- Tojo.

I've only watched 9 games of Smith, and hundreds of Letang, but I dont find Smith and Letang's game all that similar. They are both offensively competent, Tanger more so, but Smith is much more reserved with his choices and chance taking than Tanger. Tanger is also more physical. Might night work out or it could be solid. Smith was showing signs of being one of the, if not, Pens' best defenders so far this season. We would need a lot more reps/games to see for sure, obviously, but thats why I said I'd like to see it tried haha

Okay, fine, you can have Ristolainen. But it's gonna cost you at least a 5th rounder.

Trouba buried Kadri and someone else last night like he did Crosby last year. Clean hard hits sent Kadri flying

They were not like the one on Crosby last year.

But damn they were good hits

Yeah he pretty much made Calgary his female dog last night. I wouldn’t call the hit on Crosby clean, but I’m ok with it. You’re paid millions to hit hard and ask no questions. Sometimes you catch a guy up high.
